Thanks Lynn or. I will look into it. Do you protect the exposed connections?

I would like to install a battery disconnect switch to the house batteries on my spree escape. I notice that there are basically two types. One installs into the battery box and comes with a plastic key (something that I will probably lose) and the other is mounted external to the battery box. I as wondering if the externally mounted disconnect switch is weather resistant? Do the exposed connections pose a problem? I believe the brand name is sea dog.

Just about any digital thermostat will work. However I found that only the "vertical" thermostat fits in the wall space on my particular trailer.

A note of caution is that one needs to be careful that the bottom of the curtain does not snag the slide out on the e196s.

I just hung a fancy shower curtain using shower curtain rod. Works fine.

I used a magnet go locate the metal backer. Very solid.

Since we are on the subject of slide outs, I just noticed after our last trip that the wood framing support for the roller bar on the bottom of the slide is seperating. Easy enough to fix but I do not understand why there were no metal braces screwed on laterally to keep the nails from pulling out.

I believe it sells for around $20 per 100 feet.

We were driving home after the fourth of July weekend when I noticed in my rear view mirror that all of the vinyl trim moulding on the front corner edge of the trailer was flapping in the breeze. Apparently it fits into a track along the edge of the trailer and is held in place with a screw ar either end. I was wondering if I can hold this moulding in place with some silicone or perhaps a couple of additional screws?

Perhaps the Excursion or similar 3/4 ton SUV might be a better fit for that size trailer than the 1/2 ton Expedition.

I was thinking of doing this to my Spree Escape walk in shower. Just curious as to how you prepared the walls?

What do you think of a bike rack that can mount on the tongue? Just a thought. I can see his the rear bumper is pretty flimsy for more then just a spare tire.

Something is messed up. Pass on this particular trailer with the water damage (in fact run in the other direction). You may also consider the e196s with bunk beds. Similar floor plan. Shop around and take your time.

The hitch and ball height is the same no matter what. Some people like the ball height to be about an half an inch higher than the hitch height but I am no expert in this.

I also have the e196s. The hitch uses a 2" ball. The height to the top of the trailer coupler with the trailer level is right around 18 inches. I don't know what wdh you plan on buying but I also have the e2 fast way with round bars. There are a lot of quality wdh's out there so look around. I use the 600 pound bars and with an electric tongue jack they go on and off pretty easily. The post size is 2 1/4" diameter. Mine has a 6" extension on the bottom which comes in handy. Good luck and have fun with your trailer.

Checked the outside as you described and there is nothing there. I suspect one has to crawl under the dinette slide.
