We were driving home after the fourth of July weekend when I noticed in my rear view mirror that all of the vinyl trim moulding on the front corner edge of the trailer was flapping in the breeze. Apparently it fits into a track along the edge of the trailer and is held in place with a screw ar either end. I was wondering if I can hold this moulding in place with some silicone or perhaps a couple of additional screws?

I'm a big fan of GE clear silicone and it will hold the trim in place but you might want to consider getting a tube of the sealer chalk they use around the RV windows from a RV dealer and use that. That way you are sure that there will be no bad chemical reactions and that sealer will work as good as glue. I have used silicone on our RV with no problems but am a little hesitant to suggest it to others. Under no circumstances ever use silicone on the roof--it will do damage to the roof material.

I will give the sealer chalk a try.

There are a couple of sizes for the trim. The wrong size or a poor quality trim may have been installed. I wouldn't use silicone or extra screws, instead find new trim that fits correctly and replace it. Keep in mind that the trim may shrink and pull loose from the screw so don't stretch it while installing.

I believe it sells for around $20 per 100 feet.

I have this exact issue with my spree connect c220rbk, and noticed the different sizes when looking to order replacement trim online. Is it as simple as measuring the width of the channel?

Sure, but verify with the supplier.

If it came out of the corner it happens a lot. When the channel is bent to fit it distorts the width of the channel....most times a screw is installed at the factory to hold it. An adhesive behind the vinyl will work also.

Same thing on our 260rks on a hot day on the road. A tiny dab of RV Goop (silicone) every foot or so on both edges of the channel did the trick.
