Just wondering. If there is a way to manually operate the dinnette slide if you lose power or if something would break. No problems with it now but figured it would be good to know in advance would hate to be 200 miles awAy in the middle of nowhere scrathing my head someday. Is there a manual over ride that could be used. Or any special tools needed for the job?

Mine has a rod on the outside of the passenger side frame with a hex nut welded onto it to manually crank the slide in or out.

Did you check the passenger frame to see if it already has a connecting rod attached to the motor?

I see no nut on the frame inside outside or under anywhere and it is raining now. Will hook up some shore power tomorow and extend the slide oiut. Should be able to get closer to motor on interior wall and fet a better look at it

Just asking one more time because you were not specific if you checked the outside of the passenger side frame? Did you check on the complete opposite side of the trailer, outside the frame directly across from the front edge of the slide out?
This is what mine looks like. Upper right, just before the step.
Hmm, for some reason, my pic does not come up?

Checked the outside as you described and there is nothing there. I suspect one has to crawl under the dinette slide.

I did not see anything on pass side to access. But laying on the ground in the rain was short looked. Will search better tomorow but thinking as cooperrobt said. Probally have to slide undef dinnerte itself. Boy i hope i dont evef have too. The space is too tight or my gut is too big!

I had the same question about my new 2015 196s. The manual says it's located on inside under dinette. I could see it but was concerned about cotter pin on bolt end. Dealer said not to worry about pin. Socket goes onto bolt end and stops at cotter pin. I have a 17" extension and a 5/8" socket. It works great. Attachments:
