My anti siphon valve is behind the shower, accessed thru a round access plate in the shower wall.

"Really bad" depends on where the reviewer is from. For me (NV) all of CA is real bad, for a person from IL CA is an improvement.

I would take I-5 just to avoid all the on-off traffic at the various cities. Both roads are rough. Do what Edd505 recommended- check out www.Campgoundreviews, as camp grounds can change from year to year and it's been a long while since I have stayed in the central valley.

Fist off I am going to call BS on this service manager. While drawing water from the side of a tank is common, and does prevent the full capacity from being used, I seriously doubt this would cause a 37% decrease in usable capacity. I can see being short 4 gallons or so, but 15 gallons is not acceptable. My thoughts are the tank is mounted at an angle so the pickup is high and dry before the tank is empty. Could it be you aren't getting a full 40 ga in the tank? in that if the fill line dips, it will not allow the tank to fill. In short, the service department needs to do their job and find out why this is happening. Or you tell this poor excuse of a service manager to do what Lynnmor did and move the pick up to the bottom of the tank.

Yep, heard this story before, and that's why I carry a full 1/2" socket set. Only thing worse is when you find you don't have the key for the wheel locks....

Did the suspension last year (Moryde stuff) as after about 9K my suspension bushings were worn through. It does pull better, money well spent. Although after dealing with Vegas traffic, the discs are looking better and better.

Probably construction debris, the amount of saw dust and other stuff from cutting holes in the roof for vents, ACs & light fixtures that ends up in the ducting and pretty much everywhere is surprising. This stuff later filters out into light fixtures and under the frames around the vents where it eventually works it way out, landing in the tub and everywhere.

If your Gold is similar to my 2500, the control unit is in the storage area, on the "ceiling". It has fuses for each function, as well as lots of connections. I would start there. Make sure there aren't any dangling wires or blown fuses.

I have to agree with the others, you are just to close to maxing out your tow vehicle. Remember, you need to add the weight of people and stuff inside the tow vehicle and deduct that from the capacity. I don't like talking people out of buying an RV, but towing that close to capacity is going to work your tow vehicle hard and make driving a chore. End result is you and the family wont be happy.

We did look at a Grand Design with a similar floor plan but opted for the Durango (RLT318) as we felt it offered more features and was a better value. In other words, the Durango offered more bang for the buck.

Yeah, not the cleanest I have seen, you are right they should have made the cuts with a "hinge" towards the front- if at all. What I don't get is why they said they needed 2 1/2 days to drop the underbelly, but then they cut all these access holes. Yes, some backer and screws would have made for a cleaner job. I would put some black gorilla tape over the seams to keep things sealed up a bit better. But you want something that *can* be removed. This dealer who made the "repairs" isn't impressing me, I mean they knew you were full timers, how hard is it to toss a cord out so the refer stays cold? As far as KZ replacing the belly at the rally- I would ask, as they are focused on customer satisfaction.

The sanitize setting will pump to the tank, if you want to sanitize the lines to the faucets and such, use the winterize setting. One factor in using the winterize setting is it bypasses the water heater, which should have been drained during winterizing, so not a lot of need to sanitize the water heater. Once you get the sanitizing solution in the lines, then you can go to the sanitize setting to put some of the solution in your freshwater tank...but getting the tank rinsed out will take some doing.

This does happen. Hopefully the dealer does a complete inspection of the slide room to make sure it is opening "square" and that none of the slide rails are bent or installed crooked. It could also be you have a motor / gearbox that has an internal problem and is dragging. End result is don't let them install a 20A fuse and tell you "That's how we fix it".

Mine has the main and secondary grey tank switch even though I only have the one tank. I think they just decided to keep it simple and use one switch panel.
