Amazing what happens once you get the dealer out of the way. Hoping for the best for you.

Yeah, I could see it being a '74, one way to narrow it down is the stripe pattern/ color, as the manufacturers tended to change stripe detail from year to year and leave the big stuff alone. Any appliances? They might help narrowing the year down. How about the propane tanks? They will have year of mfg- assuming they are original.

How long does the furnace run before the detector goes off? Check all the other items mentioned, but as a long shot there may me a flaw in the heat exchanger /burner.

But???.....the suspense is killing us.
If not that, then time to start disconnecting and checking flow as you go.

Without a model number, I am going to make a guess and say you might be able to run the A/C with one of the Honda 2200 generators. Big issue with A/Cs is the starting surge- they have a big initial draw, and that's what forces the need for a larger generator. Good thing with the Honda (or any of the other gang-able) generator is the ability to tailor the generator to the load, No A/C = 1 generator.

Root around where the handle / nozzle connects to the hose. What you're looking for is a restrictor that is supposed to save water. What they typically do is pick up little bits of construction debris and block the flow. This restrictor typically is in the end of the nozzle where the hose connects.

I have seen things like this done before with other items in RVs...only so much electricity, and really can we pick too more opposite items? Fireplace and A/C? Makes sense to me. Back to OP: I would start with the breaker, if it has power, then the switch is the next logical place to check. My guess is the switch failed.

While my coach doesn't have a metal roof, I do think we have a few members here who do, and I don't recall hearing any complaints. How are they being slammed? Metal roofs have faults as do rubber roofs. Nothing is perfect. Gotta remember there seems to be a lot of people who love to stir the pot and basically tell lies.

I really hate to hear you have to go thru the dealer, as who knows what they are telling KZ. I don't know how anyone can think a local body shop can repair delamination. And all these other items warrant some factory attention. Perhaps one of the rally participants can quietly mention your case to a KZ rep in an attempt to shine some factory light on this.

Good to hear you got a battery to get going with. Yes, do some research, overall 2 6V golf cart batteries are a good foundation.

Tires

I have had generally poor results with foreign made tires, as their quality seems erratic, and they seem to have little margin of error in that if you run in hot temps and heavily loaded they don't do so well. I had one fail on my car hauler, and the difference was 65 MPH VS 70 MPH (moderate load, 90+ temps, after the failure we slowed down, completed our trip W/O any additional failures). My advice is weigh your rig loaded, if your close to their rated sidewall capacity then replace them. Also, if you tend to run in a high heat area (think typical Southwest 90's) and over 65 MPH replace them. With all that being said, I did travel about 800 miles with my original Provider tires w/O issue...but that was during cooler winter temps.

We have the rack on the back of our coach (also not a Venture Sporttrek) yep, that piece of square tube is about it. I welded up some cross bars that I then attach the wheel holder kind of bike racks

Unless you live somewhere without electricity having to wait 10 days for a 5th wheel hitch is crazy. What Chuck said is exactly right. You take the coach, and it will be months before they can fit you in the schedule. Try shooting some video with your phone or camera as the guy explains what goes where. Easier than trying to take notes.

I found out the hard way I really needed a slider. Everything was fine on level ground...until I was backing up an incline, which tightened up the space between the top of the cab and nose of the 5th wheel. I agree the B&W is hard to beat, and they do make a slider.

Congratulations on the new coach. Welcome to the forum. I would pass on both the extended warranty and protection place. As previously said the factory provides a 2 year warranty. My experience has been if things like appliances are still working after 6 months, they will continue to work for a normal long lifespan. These warranties come with a lot of exceptions and reasons to not pay for repairs. The other issue is they often expect you to pay for the repair with the "promise" to reimburse you. One reason for this is they often don't want to pay what a shop wants, so you end up in the middle. Save your money.

Don't feel like this is just a KZ issue, my experience has been every RV mattress stinks. Have you tried a mattress topper? Originally we went that route, (4" memory foam) but it was too soft and trapped the wife as she sunk in it. Ultimately we had a local mattress manufacturer make us one, as we have an RV king, so nothing off the shelf would fit. Wasn't cheap, but sometimes you just have to pay... Oh, and even though it is a residential mattress, we can still use the underbed storage.
