DW at the house but paper for the most part in the RV. We have coffee/tea cups a few glasses, cooking or baking stuff washed every evening so one sink full. X2 Keeping it simple and easy. FWIW, when we are traveling, we are out for months, so it isn't a weekend thing for us.

FWIW KZ is not particularly good at terminating coax, so that's the first place to look. They also tend to use a lot of splitters, which also degrade signals. In my coach, I removed the splitters for the outside TV and for the radio because I don't use either, this seemed to help improve the reception in the downstairs TV a bit.

These TV's (or at least the one in downstairs our '18) was very erratic in what channels in picked up, and when it would receive them. You could do a scan in the AM and get 10 channels, then in the evening you would lose one or two, but get 4 additional ones. I have been told that TV signals are affected by atmospheric conditions, so that could have been part of it. I also found that sometimes I had to do multiple scans, with the antenna rotated in a different direction each time to find channels. I couldn't get continuity thru my King booster to the downstairs TV, so I replaced it, and still couldn't get continuity, but the coax was fine, so I figured it was the TV being wonky, as the BR TV seemed more "stable".

Since all the plumbing has to follow RVIA & industry standards I wonder exactly what was done "incorrectly" in the Brinkley & what this tech's qualifications are. While I haven't installed a dishwasher in an RV I can see lots of issues. First being the plumbing itself, the manufacturer has the ability to start from scratch, with something as simple as moving a holding tank inlet 6" one way or the other. Then there is the need to neatly trim the cabinets, so the dishwasher doesn't look like an afterthought. With all that being said, there could also be holding tank issues, they may have larger grey tanks for units with dishwashers. Before you fall in love with a dishwasher, remember you give up lots of storage to have a dishwasher. I would do a search across the RV forum world to see just how many folks would get a dishwasher again- or who can't live without it.

Yes I have learned a lot since diving into the frame issues in the last week. I probably would have reconsidered buying the selected model if I had stumbled down this particular rabbit hole earlier. First time buyer problems I guess. I have heard of people reinforcing the frame and upgrading the axles suspension etc. I know that with my washer and dryer I’m basically down to 1700 lbs and if I get a generator that’s another 300 lbs Dry weight. I don’t really have a problem with packing light, my main concern is we will be right at capacity at all times. The extra safety net for weight would be helpful. I don’t see us packing additional weight in the pin box. I was mostly thinking storage considering we will be living in it for 2 years until my wife finishes medical school. If your wife is in school I assume you will be parked, if that's the case I would not worry about being some over weight. Your not headed down the road where it takes a beating, I know I'm over weight and I travel. I have upgraded suspension, 8K axles, and added disc brakes, could I have an issue yes, have I no. I would not worry at all if I was parked fro two years, I can down size to travel. Edd brings up an excellent point, unless you are rolling down our lousy roads, the actual load on the running gear isn't all that great, yeah the weight is there, but it isn't being pounded on.

I know what your saying, why people film things in portrait is beyond me. Maybe if you are filming the Washington Monument it makes sense, but for the Grand Canyon turn your phone 90 degrees.

I will PM you what we bought, as I don't want to dog KZ, we had pretty much zero issues with our Durango, and we put over 30K miles on it, so it wasn't a driveway queen by any means. Going to miss you here, I thought of trading up from my 8 year old KZ. I have just put too many up grades in it to start over, I have it just the way we wanted. I know exactly what your saying. I have spent a lot of time getting the new coach the way we had the Durango, had to move a lot of stuff. I will still lurk, as I have no issues with KZ, I think they make a good product.

Good luck with your new RV, just out of curiosity which brand did you go with. I bounced back and forth between KZ and Grand Design, but I think I made the right choice for us anyway. Mine is now 11 months old in fact I'm fixing to head to the DMV to get my tags. I have been very satisfied with it. Have pulled it a little over 15,000 miles and stayed a many a night in it. Will be taking another trip next week for Christmas. A few little issues but nothing that has caused problems. James I will PM you what we bought, as I don't want to dog KZ, we had pretty much zero issues with our Durango, and we put over 30K miles on it, so it wasn't a driveway queen by any means.

Well I am sorry to say we have left the KZ family. We felt it was time for a new coach and just couldn't find a KZ that worked for us.
I will still lurk as a non owner as this is a great site with quality people.

I echo Johnr's thoughts. Except you need to talk to an engineer, as the loads are far beyond what a hitch or trailer place can really understand. Also, you should be aware you would be pulling what is considered doubles, and some states do not allow that or require the front trailer to be a 5th wheel

Hi welcome to the forum. Even if it is tricky to get under, covered storage is great (I wish I had some).

Look at the stove, make sure all the burners are in the off position, also that the oven pilot isn't on.

Good that there is an alternative, as the one control app either seems to work well for people or it just doesn't. It has always worked for me, but I usually bring an old phone that has the app just in case.

My coach doesn't have any. But based on what I have read here, it is annoying. I think there is a USB charger built into it. Can you put a piece of tape over the light?

Kinda hard to give exact coordinates, but this pic from my coach should give you an idea as to how they might be placed.

Unfortunately knowing what lino was used 6 months ago much less 4 years ago is a losing bet. As been said, it was what was cheap and available. KZ probably doesn't even know who made it much less what the pattern was called. You might try calling some of the RV salvage outfits (maybe E mail pictures) to see what they might have lying around.

As been said, the keys are to support the tank in every way possible, also make sure none of the fittings have strain- a hose that is pulling on a fitting can causes stress in other areas.

Hi folks...we just finished two weeks of camping and during these two weeks we recieved alot of rain. Our Durango 301's awning ends at the edge of the door into the trailer. Then right beside that is our main slide with topper. This leaves a gap of about 2 feet at the top allowing our steps to get wet and very messy. Does anyone have an idea on how to cover this gap to allow our steps to remain dry ? We have the same issue. I sure wish there was a second awning =over= the slide. Lyle Same issue here, except I don't even have room for a topper for the slide.
