. After attending the 2013, we had a minor traffic accident. Scheduled it in for factory repair. 1st. rate!
I believe. our 2010 Durango was the second oldest KZ at the 2018 Rally. Ten days before the 2018 Rally, we had a bearing burn up and lost an axle. Ordered one from LCI. Picked it up at their HUGE warehouse in Indiana. Installed it ourselves two days before we left for the rally. At the rally, KZ service techs lube the slide, the front landing jacks, checked the roof, minor repairs to our awning and pointed out some areas of concern to watch. Earlier this year I installed a LCI kit, 6 of the special bolts were too short to install the washers. The LCI rep. gave us longer ones that I'll install shortly. DW said had I asked the LCI service reps might have change them for me.... Likely, she was right.
Many thanks to KZ, LCI and MORryde for there efforts in making a great Rally.

Glad to hear the LCI crew helped you out. From my perspective, I thought their performance was less than stellar. Had several complaints about the female reps at the LCI trailer being rude,
complaints about their service techs bad mouthing the KZ techs, showing up 1 hour late for their seminar and then not covering the material that we had approved for the seminar.
Again glad to hear they helped you, but from my end, well.......

We didn't like them showing up late either but otherwise we were happy but we did not hear the bad mouthing personally...should be more professional than that. We felt the speaker gave lots of good information.

I didn't see much of them except driving around in their trucks after the second day, seems like the spent allot of time up at one persons trailer in late afternoon as i saw it, of course I spent lots of time at the same trailer in the morning LOL I did not see the LCI gals at all as I did last year, the LCI Techs tried to call one of them with no answer for me regarding something I needed addressed, I financially called the LCI help desk per KZ Service manager an got a service number for work that had to be done ... When asking one of the LCI Techs on Thursday if they would be back on Friday they said all the work had been completed an they would not be back ... Later I heard this was not true an there was some work still outstanding with a couple of owners but I do not know who it was or what needed to be done ... I know that rvdude an I had a minor question about the zero point leveling system an he had something about a slide topper that needed answering ... Safe Travels Chuck

Have to give credit to Opelika RV in Alabama. Super nice guys, start to finish. Just bought my 2nd RV from them and took it out this past weekend. Had some issues with the auto leveler system due to us being new to 5th wheels and auto leveling in general. Called the dealer and they had a tech call me back and fix the problem over the phone. Gave me his cell number and said to call anytime over the weekend if we had any more problems.

RV Travel World Sacramento (Bad) Bought a new Vison 23RL in January, 2017. They failed to tighten the kitchen and bath drain pipes, so the floor flooded. Screws keep working loose on the outside. The Vision decal on the front has burned adhesive. I emailed both the dealer and KZ....both ignored any solution. Now, we see the gas line T under the black tank was not installed at an angle, so there is a hole in the black tank. Any liquid over 2 gallons leaks onto the ground.Shower pan has no front support. It's spongy.

Try talking to the dealers manager an state your problem, if the problems are not addressed then call Kz Customer service an tell them of your problems ... Why do I say the above, because Kz Customer Service will ask you right off the bat if you have tried to work with your dealer, if you say no I have not then they will refer you back to your selling dealer ... If you say you have an list the names an times, as well if the trailer has been back to the dealer a number of times an for how long, Customer Service may refer you to another dealer or ask if you can bring your unit back to the factory ... I can say that Kz service department has opened the door for us to have our trailer repaired at a local RV repair shop instead of our selling dealer do to the fact I was not happy at all with our selling dealer ... Kz in allot of case's because of being short staffed like every other RV MFG in Indiana may or may not answer an email... But Kz CS. will answer the phone or if you get a voice mail they will call you back but it may take them a day or so but they will call you back ... Safe Travels Chuck

Family Camping Outlet in Pottstown PA, one of the good ones. Took care of every issue promptly!!! We are thinking about buying a KZ Escape at Family Camping Outlet. Are you still happy with their service? The Escape has an aluminum roof. We are first time travel trailer buyers and have been told by others that aluminum roofs are bad. Are you familiar with them?

Ask for Beth (salesperson)

Unfortunately, these people are the closest RV repair shop. Nearest KZ dealer after them is another 1.5 hours past them. I have read your having trouble. Long story short, I bought in AZ form a WA dealer & live in NM. Local dealer wouldn't do a thing because I didn't buy there. I called KZ customer service & they authorized a local RV repair to fix issues 2 times. KZ will not pay for mobile RV repair to come to you. He was in contact with KZ and was shipped the parts needed an asked to ship back the defective. I also found a dealer in El Paso that was happy to fix it, you know where I buy the next one. KZ Customer service 866-472-5460 That's interesting. I called KZ when I first started looking for a new FW in '15. At the time, there was only 1 KZ dealer here in AZ, the now-closed one that took over the old Camping World location in Mesa, and they told me that they had no problems with using a local RV service, or mobile service, because of this. Now, this =was= pre-buyout, so things may have changed. The whole "no buy, no service" b.s. is the 2nd thing I'd change if I were in charge! Lyle

There goes the neighborhood, CW repairs have a bad reputation. You would think with all the complaints Marcus Lemonis would do something about it. Marcus Lemonis is the problem. AMEN! Lyle

OK, so here's mine:
Frost RV in Tucson; good. At the time, they were the only KZ dealer in AZ and they had ONE D-1500 in stock. Wasn't what I wanted to look at (my #1 choice was the D284RLT, but the closest I could find was at Folsom RV, almost 800 miles away), but wanted to actually see something similar, in the same model line. In short, DW saw it and really liked it, so we started negotiations. Salesman was OK; I mean, he's a salesman. DW did think he was fudging numbers around and wasn't happy, but we continued talking. We left, saying we needed to talk and talk finances, but would call within 2-3 days. I had a question and called back the next day. Salesman was with another customer but the =owner= picked up the call and he answered my question, then said he needed to get this thing off his lot (been there almost 11 months) and gave me a price well below what I was seeing =used= models for. Called DW and she said OK, so I called back and banged out a grand on a card as a down. Now, when we looked through the rig the first time, we noticed a lot of little stuff that needed fixing and even made a list. I typed it up, emailed it and said we'd have the funds in a few days and would bring them a cashier's check. Went down to pay them and sign the paperwork and they'd already started fixing some of the issues. A couple things on the list they balked at a bit, mostly some scrapes on the roof that I wanted them to Dicor over, but they ended up doing so. DW wasn't able to go with me to pick it up, but we'd done about half the PDI just in looking at it the first time, so I checked a few things, tried out all the systems and got a tutorial on the 4-point system, and headed home. My only complaint was that the battery was stone dead when we looked at the rig initially and had to use a jumper box to power it up to move the slides out. They refused to replace it prior to delivery, which was my only knock on them.
Service; good, so far. I had to take it back for warranty work one time, though I "saved up" a couple things. First, the rubber trim (in boats it's the rub rail) along the RR corner was cut too short at the factory and, when it got warm, it slipped out of the track. They fixed it, but it doesn't 100% match. NBD, it's there and it looks OK. At the top of the same corner, the Dicor was cracked about 6" long. I know it sat out in the AZ sun for most of a year, but c'mon, it should last longer'n that! Anyway, they shot some sealant over it. Yes, not a "perfect" fix, but all I really expected. Biggest issue was that the power converter wasn't working and didn't charge the battery. I ended up having to run my truck for about 45 minutes while packing up the first time we used it, and I'm sure my neighbors weren't real happy. Seems that a fuse blew on the converter, so that was an easy fix. A related issue was that the stereo also wasn't working. It was simply fried. We don't know if it was the converter or the pedestal that took it out. I was lucky in that the exact model was still available and the dealer's owner actually called up pretending to be me and got a new unit shipped to them, so they got it installed at the same time.
Right now, I don't know how much longer they're going to be a KZ dealer, as there's only 2 of them on their lot, neither of them Durangos of any flavor. There =is= another KZ dealer in Apache Junction now, and they've got a number of KZs on their lot, including several Durangos. If Frost quits KZ, it'll be interesting to see if they will pick up the slack, or hand out the "no sale/no service" b.s.

They didn't charge enough tax, your employees did all the paper work and calculations. I signed a contract for a total of XXXX.xx and that's what you get, you don't get to come around 18 months after signing and ask for more. I have no doubt you made a profit on the sale, so you made a little less. I know if I over paid I wouldn't hear from you, you would chalk it up to extra profit.

Lyle Freedom RV sells off a small lot in Quartzsite, AZ, it's on the east end of town south side. They bring down units from WA for the rally, mine was on the lot after the rally and they made me a "good deal" so they would not have to tow it back to WA. I was told by a buddy that was with me when I bought, that they had a fire on the lot last year.

Edd, there are a number of dealers that move inventory to QZ for the snowbird season, about 4-5 months a year. They just have an empty office trailer on a lot during the other 7-8 months. :-)
