Tacoma RV (The Bad) Bought trailer in January, called for an appointment in February, was given an appointment in the middle of April for warranty work. Was told by Tacoma RV that if I had any problems bring it right back ASAP, I guess a month an a half is ASAP. I did realize it was the beginning of the camping season which was just around the corner but come on now, we had just bought and signed the papers one week before ... Called Tacoma Rv for furnace work (furnace not working) was told again it would be a month and a half before they could get me in. Service writer did not tell me that I could call Suburban who made the furnace an get to a repair shop other than Tacoma RV. I called Kz customer service and was told to call Suburban an they would send me to one of there service dealers, I did such and was sent to a RV dealer not ten miles from me and repair was done in a less than a week ... Awesome RV Chehalis, Washington (The Good) Was sent by Suburban to Awesome RV ( www.awesomerv.com/ ) Chehalis, Washington for furnace work on my 5th wheel, I was given an appointment within a week of when I called them. Dropped off trailer and was called 6 days later an told to pick up my trailer the repair was done, customer service was pretty darn good and repair was spot on ... Chuck

I copied an re posted this by Edd505 (The Good) Fun County RV -Anthony TX -- www.funcountryrvs.com/Bring it in no questions - estimate two weeks made it in 3 and kept apologizing sorry it's our busy season, was willing to get a part from a competing dealer to fix the problem after KZ authorized the repair. Can't say enough about Fun Country I didn't buy there and they never asked. Second dealing with them the repair and shopping for an RV several years back. (The Bad) Aloha RV- Albuquerque NM -- aloharv.com/ Will not do warranty work on KZ unless they sold it. Not sure about other Brands they sell, I suspect that covers all brands, no sale no repair.

The Good ... Humphrey RV in Grand Junction, Colorado. Sales people are first class, can't seem to do enough for you. Parts department has everything. Every time I needed something they got me right in, especially in the first several months. Will be buying another RV soon, went to several dealers and just didn't get very good "vibes" from them. Definitely will buy from Humphrey's.

I bought from Terry Vaughn in Spring, TX in 2007. I kept that trailer until February 2017 and never had any service issues so I can't tell you about their service. As for as their sales, I can't complain. Real nice salesman and no high pressure.

We bought ours from Folsom Lake RV in Folsom,CA . Made appointment for some minor warranty repairs they where 1 month out but it is the busy season. Was very happy with the service department once we got into their shop. Sales department was very knowledgeable about the different trailers and no high pressure.

America's Choice RV Ocala Florida. Purchased a new Sportsmen LE 241RLLE. Sales staff nice enough. Service is horrible. Wouldn't make an appointment, "Just bring it by". Had the TT for one full week and never looked at it. It took another week to evaluate the warranty issues. It then took 2 weeks for KZ to authorize repairs. It took 2 weeks to get parts and a couple of days to complete repairs. One of the repairs (Gasket Repair)was never done even though they checked it off. They never once called me, I had to keep calling them for updates.
Somewhat disappointed with KZ quality control. DVD/sound system was not physically connected to the AV cables. The LP/Electric water heater was not connected correctly so that only the propane worked.
Still waiting for service to contact me about the gasket repair that they didn't fix.

Kettlsens, Tacoma, McClain's, Terry Vaughn, Humphrey's, Apache, Pine Acres, I could add a few more but I can not think at the top of my head. Traveling across country they refuse to work on your trailer if you didn't buy from them.

That can take another week or so depending on how far the vendor is out.. Are you sure dont you have a lp/electric water heater? A lot of the sportsman LE water heaters are gas only. Kz quality control has nothing to do with these issues, this would go right to the vendor surburban for the water heater. The dealership wouldn't even cont kz on this they would contact them.

I bring a new TT home and notice that the RR wheel is pushed up and forward like someone backed it into a curb. Take it to the dealer and he keeps it for three weeks. I call and tell him I will be over for it. When I get there, I am told that they checked it and there is nothing wrong. I take it home and recheck and it is bent considerably, (3/4" forward and up, you can see it from 100 yards away), so I order new axles and replace them on my dime. The worst axle is sent to KZ, they send it to AL-KO and they say yes it is bent but I must have overloaded it. Remember it is bent forward so that is nonsense. The trailer was not overloaded and I didn't damage it in any way.
Know that I have a tool & die shop and have the tools and skills to do the measurements and mechanical work, other customers might be fooled by such a corrupt dealer. Warranty is useless with a dealer that sells damaged trailers and makes a fool of his customers. I would bet that the dealer is the one that backed the trailer into a curb, when he took it to the show, and knew very well what happened.
I did not post all of this before and didn't want to get in a contest, but I was called out.

So did one buy from Family Camping Outlet in Pottsville, PA and one not? That would be consistent with what I have seen with the KZ warranty. We sell it we'll fix it, we didn't take a hike.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. Pottsville is where I got hosed. I came to this forum as well as doing other research and heard all the great things about this brand and the dealer. The trailer was extremely poor but the factory people did make some effort to help on other issues. The dealer was worse than useless.

Every dealer will have people that like them, and people that hate them. It's unfortunate that your problems were not handled to your liking, but they handled every one of my issues quickly and thoroughly.

Ocean View Trailer Sales, Ocean View, NJ. They sell K-Z but not Durango. I had warranty issues and the nearest dealer was Family in Pottsville, which was way to far for me. KZ contacted Ocean View, and they were very, very good about the repair. No complaints at all.

I bought my Sportster form Ketelson Campers in Wheat Ridge, CO.
Sales Team: GOOD My salesman worked with me. Initially, he thought I didn't know what I was talking about, but once he did, the BS stopped and we got down to brass tacks. He was very through on the breakdown of the pricing and such and I have no complaints.
FINANCE: Lukewarm Again, they tried playing with the numbers (i.e. trying to get me to buy the maintenance package at the higher interest rate/longer payment option) and pushing me to sign for delivery prior to my inspection. Once I pushed back hard enough they stopped.
Service: POOR First, it's been two months and I have yet to see the new cabinet door that was damaged and noted during my inspection (I understand these things can take a few months to come in, but I have received ZERO feedback from them). A simple call or email with a "just wanted to let you know that part is still X weeks out" or "should be here in the next week or 2" Second, they tried to push me through my walkthrough and inspection and the guy doing started getting really annoyed when I took longer than an hour. Lastly, I bought my BW hitch from these guys and they forgot to order it to have it ready for install when I arrived (scheduled 2 weeks before my scheduled appointment). So I got stuck at the dealer for 3 hours AFTER my walk through. From the reviews I see online, it looks like this is Ketelson's Achilles heel.
Next Friday marks 9 weeks since I bought the trailer, so I am planning on following up with them to see when my door will be in, but I'm not expecting much. It seems like the only way to get anything done in this dept is to be the squeaky wheel.
Parts: GOOD.
I didn't purchase much, and their selection is limited, but the parts people were nice. So they have that going for them.
