Unfortunately on our last outing we had a slight incident and now need to repair our 5er. Just a small oops nothing major but need the paint code. Does anyone know where they put the sticker with the code in the unit? I have a call into customer service too.

Thanks Chuck for the info on the vent cover. That was the problem. Not much difference in fan speeds though. But at least it works now. Just have to get a ladder to carry around though.

We received a recall notice regarding a safety issue with the sofa being too tall and not allowing the emergency exit window to be accessed. I liked the couch and wasn't too concerned about the exit issue until this week. When we got to our camping site noticed the latch for the window was broken, evidently the couch had hit the latch and broke it. Without the latch the window won't stay closed. So was able to put a pillow between the couch and the window latch to keep it closed until we get appointment at the dealer to complete the safety recall. Anyone else rec'd this recall?

So finally was able to go camping and use all the features (except a/c) and only had one issue. The fan on our Frigidaire microwave/convection doesn't seem to be working right. It is supposed to be two speed and there is no change between high and low. Also, it doesn't seem to be venting to the outside. I could feel the hot air coming down the sides of the hood along the cabinets and there wasn't any draw of air up like you would expect from an exhaust fan. Has anyone else had issues with their micro/convection combo. This is in a 2018 Gold 366.

My hubby and I use the hand signals and I'm the one showing him where the trailer should go. It works well for us. If I have a concern I stop him walk up to the truck and tell him my concern. We have had our Durango since November and the slides are in different places than on our old 5er. So don't forget to check to see if you can get all the slides open, awnings open if you want and for any low tree branches that may scrape roof or sides. Also check position for sewer, water, etc. hookups. Again these are different from old unit.
I would encourage your partner/wife to also learn how to drive, backup your unit. The last thing I want is to be somewhere and my hubby have an issue and can't get anywhere. Doesn't mean he/she HAS to drive, just have the confidence and knowledge that he/she can if circumstances require it. Big parking lots after hours are great for practice.
Also, if you are just stopping for the night, some WalMarts allow you to park in their lot. Easy to dry camp for one night and save the money! Most importantly enjoy your travels and good luck.

So, planning a trip to Alaska and back this summer. We will be heading up through Great Falls, Montana taking the eastern route and then plan on coming back some other way. Haven't figured out that yet. We are planning to spend two months just touring Canada and Alaska. This is our first trip driving to Alaska but have flown up twice before. For those of you that have done this before, any "must sees" that you recommend along the way. Thanks everyone.

We debated the frig question too. We do dry camp but have a generator. Decided on rv frig and love it. I bring ice cubes from home so ice maker wasn't important. We've had rv parks experience power outages so nice not having to worry about that, especially if you are gone all day. Frig will automatically switch from electric to propane. Have also used rv frig as backup for power outages at home. Good luck!

Ugh that's too bad. Hopefully when you get it reinstalled they can reinforce the mounting.

KZ called me back in less than 15 minutes. Impressed. They sent me some directions to try to fix it but they aren't for a shade that won't stay down. KZ then emailed me the contact info for the Irvine Shade company. They are in eastern time zone so will call on Monday. Again, I am impressed with the quick response from KZ and their very friendly attitude.

I asked if they could get us the new shade drop shipped to us and we would then send them they broken one. Nope. Nope they won't do that. Said call KZ customer service. So left a message with KZ will see what happens now.

Well, I was going to check out the volume issue with our 5er but it is in our shop and we can't get any tv reception inside the metal building. So it will have to wait till we pull it out again in a couple of weeks. We have winter storm warnings right now, so we'll leave it tucked away. (I didn't say that %&*@ word! )

Well, called the dealer this morning, "The service managers are helping someone. I'll have one of them call you back." That was over 4 hours ago. grr... Going to call them again right now. Hope this isn't a sign of what's to come.

Thanks Jetzen. I'll check that out tomorrow. The sound bar has power because the radio works. But I'll check the optical connection.

Yes we do. I can't get the sound from the tv to come through it. Though I think it supposed to somehow. Might be operator error.

Thanks Chuck. I'll give the dealer a call. I checked on the website for the shades and there is a way to adjust how fast/slow the shades go up. Might check it out to see if it helps your problem. Here's the link for their videos. www.irvineshadeanddoor.com/support/video-instructions/

We have a 2018 366 Gold. The volume on our TV is really low. You have to crank it up to 70-80 to be able to hear it. I thought you could run the tv audio through the surround sound system but not having any luck. Has anyone else had a problem with the volume on their television?

We have the slow-rise window shades and one of our shades won't stay down. Worked fine for a while. Anybody else have issues and if so how did you fix it?
