We tried several dvds including ones we had watched before. All with the same results. But I'll remember the suggestions if we have it happen once we get it fixed.Regarding the slides, we were getting snow, sleet and freezing rain off and on during the nights. Along with high winds. We've had to shovel snow and gently chisel ice off the slides on our old 5er to be able to close the slide to come home. We aren't as agile now and really don't want to climb up on a snow covered roof. Much easier to just close slides and not have to worry about.

Considering we were in 15-30 degree weather the furnace worked well. Even forgot to turn it off while we were gone for 11 hours and batteries held up. We do have generator and turned it on to charge the batteries back up. Bed was very comfortable and love the island kitchen and big refrigerator. We had a 2006 Keystone Everest with bunks in back, so love all the usable room now.

Well we just got back from our first trip in our 2018 366 Gold. So far only two issues. Didn't have any heat in the front bathroom. Brr... But we weren't using the shower or water since it is a little too cold now and we are already winterized. 15 at night. Half bath was toasty warm and I do mean toasty!! Will check to see if the ductwork is attached for the front bathroom. Might have come off but it was too cold and windy where we were to look at that. Being cold and windy thought we could watch some movies, well dvd player would quit then start skipping, then maybe start to work correctly. (no TV reception back in the woods ) Also after having quite an issue to get the slide toppers on the street side slides, found out that they make quite a bit of noise in the wind. But winds of 30-40 would make anything noisy! We just pulled in the slides at night and everything worked fine. When we camp in the winter we always close slides at night and when we are away from the rv so we don't have to shovel/sweep snow of the slides. Hubby wasn't real keen on the fireplace when we were looking for rv. But I noticed he was quick to turn it on in the morning to warm up the trailer. Hmmm... maybe he likes it now?! Look forward to being able to fully use all the features on the rv. Might have to go south though to do that.

We are hunters here in Montana. Just got back from eight days camping in the wall tent and using our horses. No luck so far but was 65. Way to warm. Heading back out later this week but taking rv this time. Won't use water or toilets since we have already winterized. By the way both me and my hubby hunt. Mostly for elk some deer. Good luck to everyone.

We were finally able to get the slide toppers on the street side slides. We wanted this done at the factory so they matched the awnings. Supposedly the factory did not install the toppers but did ship them out with our unit. It was quite a go around to finally get our unit. Were finally able to pick it up 30 days after we were told it would be at the dealer. Grrrr..... Haven't had a chance to even use it. But we are heading out the end of the week to do some winter camping. We won't be using the water or toilets since we are winterized. But at least we'll still get to try it out.

Thanks for the travel idea. But call us crazy, we still like our winter and snow. We are both hunters and will be heading into the back country for a couple of weeks. But might head south for a week or two later if mother nature isn't too rough on us.

Thanks again to everyone. We blew air through the dishwasher and then put antifreeze in the basin and turned on the rinse cycle. It pumped the antifreeze through so hopefully we have it taken care of. Always learning something new!!

So having a dishwasher is new for us. How do you winterize it? We usually just blow out all the water lines and pou rv antifreeze in the drains.

Thanks Chuck. We knew it was the LCI just were concerned that all those wire were so exposed. I can just see a fishing pole tip getting stuck in them or who knows what. We're going to figure out some time of cage/cover to keep that from happening. If you are ever over in Montana please let us know. We would love to meet some of the other KZ people. Thank you again!!!

Thank you Chuck for taking the time to share all your info and experiences with us. We picked up our 2018 Gold 366 yesterday. Your list was put to use! All in all no problems. Did have a question though. After we got home we noticed that there is an electronic panel in the basement storage that is right out in the open. It doesn't have a cover over it so I worry about damaging it when we put stuff in or out off the compartment. Is this normal or did the factory miss the cover? I' ll try to get a picture shortly and post it. Any others have this?

Jetzen, Thanks for the update. Crazy that they sell new models and you don't even get to know what it will look like when you order it.

Thanks. We boondock and I was hoping to add solar to help keep batteries charged, mostly for lights, monitors, etc. We have a generator for powering microwave, a/c and such when needed which will also charge batteries. Still waiting on trailer so have some time to do more research.

We have ordered a 2018 Durango Gold 366fbt that is scheduled to ship 9/1. I just wanted to thank everyone, Jentzen and Chuck especially, for answering all my questions and being such valuable resources. This isn't our first 5th wheel. We're are trading in our 2006 Everest. Loved the rv but it has bunk beds and grandkids just don't go with the old folks. So now we are looking forward to a floorplan that fits our lifestyle! Again, thanks everyone!!!
