Thanks rvdude. We were able to "rebend" the crank handle and now it clears the side of the trailer nicely. Might be something to mention at the rally though. We would like to come but taking the Gold to Alaska this year for a couple of months. Hope to go in 2019 though.

We are going to check to see if they make a longer one. Thanks Chuck. Will let you know if we find one.

We're double checking everything before we start out for the season. We want to get another spare wheel and we were taking the spare off to be sure to match the wheel size. It seems the crank handle is too short. When we try to put it on the nut underneath the trailer, threading it through the hole on the slide, it barely reaches the nut. When we turn the handle we have to push hard and it rubs on the side of the trailer. It looks like the handle is too short and should be at least a couple of inches longer in order to clear the side of the trailer and not rub. Has anyone else noticed this? Thought maybe there is a longer crank available and maybe we just got the wrong one with our 366.

As Chuck said if you have a dishwasher you won't get the double sink. I like the large single sink.

I have a 366 with the dishwasher. It's great. I don't have a washer and dryer and I don't want one. Most of the rv units are so small that you can only w ash really small loads. I would rather wash at the laundry and do it all in a short period of time than do small loads all day long! And don't forget the weight of the washer and dryer take away from all the cargo you want to load in your rv.

We dry camp and are able to run our furnace using our generator when shore power isn't available.

We have a 366 gold. It has two bathrooms and the half bath is totally accessible with slides in. You cannot get to frig, but you can get to pantry. We don't mind having to open the slide partway to get to the frig. We have the RV frig and love it. We dry camp a lot and the residential frig just wouldn't work for us. Love having the two bathrooms too. It's amazing how much they get used at the same time! Also love the large front bathroom and huge closet. It's just the two of us and our dog so we have plenty of room. We both cook so having the island for prep space is great. Love our Gold!! We tow with a 5500 Ram yes not a typo a 5500 2-ton Ram. As you can imagine handles the trailer great. Our previous tow vehicle was dually gas Chevy. Loved that truck but it worked hard to pull our previous 5er. Handled the load fine. But the stopping power of the diesel with the exhaust brake and tow haul mode can't be beat in my opinion.

We like the extra protection in case of an accident. We can also leave it running when we are parked somewhere in case someone hits our rig. We had it running and hit a deer. Was easy to show adjuster what happened!

We have the Dezlcam. Was in our big truck and just moved it to rv. Like that it shows low overpasses, tight curves, etc. and it also a dash cam. As the saying goes we don't leave home without the dashcam anymore. Also have the built in gps in our Ram 5500. Between the phone, the truck and the garmin, we are covered. Also, have our road atlas from our trucking days.

We have a Honda 6500 as well. We dry camp quite a bit even in winter. So like to be able to run furnace, microwave and fireplace easily. As Chuck said, it is heavy but we have a tractor to load on truck.

I have a 2018 366 and my burners all adjust including the oven. I can simmer easily. So definitely BS!

And if you fill from a spigot be sure to use only your own hose designated just for fresh water. DO NOT use any hose that is already hooked to the spigot. I can speak from experience you do not want the results of drinking water from a hose that was polluted somehow. YUCHY YUCHY!

Thanks everyone. We are going to leave the door as is and try it. We haven't been able to get out since Thanksgiving since mother nature dumped snow on us.

On our previous 5er the entry door had a catch to hold it open. On our Gold there isn't a catch. I did notice that when you open the entry door it is very tight. Has anyone installed a catch to hold the door open. There are times when we like to have just the screen door closed and are worried the wind might catch the entry door. Comments?
Looking at the KZ website they show a catch on the regular Durango but not on the Golds.

Well we pulled the panel and checked all the duct work and hoses. No leaks in the duct work, no leaks in the hoses. The back panel on the furnace was leaking some so removed it and installed it correctly. No leaks there now. I think it might be a poor design. The bedroom and bathroom both have registers off of the same duct run. The bathroom register comes off the duct run using a hose to connect it. It's not a register right off the duct run but instead is a hose. I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow. When we cover the register in the bedroom (even just half way) we get good heat/air in the bathroom. But if both registers are left fully open it's like there isn't enough volume of air to get to the bathroom. Might just be as simple as replacing the register cover in the bedroom with one that we can close. Won't close all the way but some just to get the heat to the bathroom.

We going to disconnect the hose from the furnace and run some air through the duct and see what happens. We're thinking there might be a blockage of some sort in the duct that the bedroom and bathroom lines connect to. There is a separate duct for the register for the basement and it's putting out good air and heat.

We checked all of those and they are all on tight. Going to check the ductwork going to the front and see if it's blocked with something. It's strange that there is plenty of heat/air coming out of all the vents in the living room, kitchen and half bath but hardly any air/heat coming out of the vents in the bedroom and front bath. The vent in the basement has more heat/air blowing out of it too.
We'll keep checking. Thanks!

Hi All, We have a Durango Gold 366 that we purchased the end of October. We have only made one two week trip and noticed we have a problem with the heat in the bedroom and front bathroom. The bedroom gets very little heat and the front bathroom even less, almost none. We checked to see if maybe the duct work had come loose but it's on tight. Was wondering how much heat others with 366's have in their bedrooms and front bathrooms. Thought I would check here and see what I can find out. Then I'll check with dealer. It's 200 miles to dealer and over two mountain passes so don't really want to go to dealer right now. Any thoughts?

The one I don't understand is why the put the switch for the porch light in the cupboard where the tank monitors are. Why do you have to open a cupboard door to turn on the porch light? It should be on the wall by the door.
