I just looked on RV Trader and there are still several 382MBQs listed, one of them at a small dealership called RV Outfitters of Texas. I understand you're probably a long way from Texas but we drove 600 miles from northwest Oklahoma to buy our D333RLT there and could not have asked for better service. We did it mostly because their prices beat everything else we found but their service was excellent. Our sales rep there did tell us that they sell a lot of units out of state and have even shipped many to the west coast. Plus, it was a nice roadtrip, and a bonus for us was stopping on our way home and seeing some of our kids and grandkids. Anyway, hope this helps. Best of luck in your search. Safe travels!

I'm willing to take a road trip to wherever I need to go. I don't mind seeing some country, we're now retired anyway! LOL! Hopefully they'll have it in stock so you can at least look. If not, you'll have a good excuse for that road trip. Best of luck! Jay

Same story I heard in October.....not holding my breath for a call back. They did say they have had troubles at the factory getting all the components to complete their builds, that doesn't surprise me. I guess in the Covid world, patience is still the key, especially with a smaller manufacturer.

From what I’ve seen on this forum and others though, all the manufacturers are having similar issues. The dealer where we bought ours said it was anyone’s guess when their orders were arriving. We didn’t actually get to see our floor plan in person until we went to pick it up. And it had been on their lot a couple of months; I had just expanded my search enough to find it. Anyway, best of luck with your ongoing search! Jay

That's an awful lot of $ to drop to find out something doesn't work for me. I didn't think it through enough with the first trailer we bought for $52k, and I don't want to make that mistake again. I'm gun shy!!! We did walk through one probably a year ago now, barely - it was inside the shop basically torn apart because the dealer was working on it. I didn't feel comfortable inspecting it very closely because it had already been sold and the techs were actually there working on it at the same time we were trying to look at it. They were doing dealer installed options for the new owner. I didn't know enough then to find out what exactly they were doing to it, other than installing a washer/dryer.

That's what I was facing several years ago. My #1 choice was a D1500 D284RLT. The closest one I could find to use here in PHX was in Folsom, CA, a 700 mile one-way trip. I'd've done it in a heartbeat, but I could never talk the DW into taking a trip to someplace she didn't want to go just to look at an RV. I talked to the KZ Western rep several times to see if they had any coming anywhere closer, but, nope, not a one. We lucked into the 277RLT that we now have and are WAY ahead, money-wise, as the owner wanted it gone yesterday, so made us a deal we simply couldn't pass up. I'd =still= like to see a D284RLT, though. :-) Lyle

Luckily for us, we had looked at enough Durango 5th wheels and liked what we saw that we had a pretty good idea what we were getting. The dealer had also agreed to refund our deposit if we didn’t like it when we got there. We were both actually pleasantly surprised. It was even roomier and nicer than we expected. And the floor plan works well for us both. This dealer had quoted me the best price I found anywhere nationwide so I was pretty comfortable with the deal. It worked out well... and we got a little lucky too. Jay

We're headed to the south in March to visit family, we'll probably try a slight detour to take a look at a 382 on our way if a dealer has one on their lot when we go. That's a couple months from now, we have that long to TRY to walk through one here. Who knows....LOL!

Ooops. :-) The KZ also didn't have a pantry, but, from the pics, sure looked like it had more cabinet space. What I liked best about that floorplan, was the opposing slides, which really opened up the center area for more room for the grandkids to play in, though when I started looking, there weren't =any=, yet. :-) Lyle

I actually found a 2018 Cedar Creek that was really nice at a good price but when we looked my DW asked “Where’s the pantry?” Obviously we didn’t buy it. The D333 we bought has a really nice size pantry with the double vanity we wanted, plus lots of counter space. The opposing slides are great! Jay

The two items on the 382 we seem to always go back to - the sliding glass door, and the steps into the loft. I can see myself sitting in one of the rockers working on a drawing. The idea of so much light coming in excites me. AND the second thing, the loft for grandkids, and I have a bunch of them; and the extra bunk room for their parents when they come with us. They do camp with us a lot, and the other thing; the extra room when we DON'T have guests, for storage for my art supplies. And with the steps into the loft, I can access that area as well - not too keen on trying to climb a ladder at my age. To many reasons the 382 fits everything we want, too few reasons to go smaller and a different floor plan. I've been searching for over a year, and I keep coming back to this one.

Then my suggestion is to keep looking and don’t settle for anything less than what truly will work for you! You’re right, none of us are getting any younger and those little things that didn’t seem to matter so much a few years ago suddenly become very important. We bought ours because it fit both of our needs better than any other floor plan we had seen and I have not regretted it once. They may seem to be pretty scarce right now but they’re out there. Hang in there and keep us updated! Jay

Problem I see in waiting so long is that they do away with the model an change to something else Ugh !!! Or change the floor plan, I know in the past 4 years they have made minor an not so minor changes in the G384RLT's, some I believe good an some not so good, the overall trailer is the same just things inside move around an some space's get smaller making room for other things that were added ... As with other Good luck but I believe waiting on one dealer to get in something you just want to look at is possibly a large mistake, as with others I'd be taking a nice road trip an see the country an look at a different dealer.... This dealer has lead you down a path that many of us would have not gone down Again as with other good luck
BTW the Big RV Show in AZ (Quartzsite) is still on, might be a good place to look

Safe Travels If they do away with it, I'll try to find a used one. I might go that route anyway....LOL! Hey, I just looked up the RV show, it looks like RV Country is the exclusive dealer for the show...they don't deal in K-Z. Hubby says he's not swaying from the 382, so guess we won't be going to Quartzsite. Thanks for that info though!

That dozen't mean that Kz will not have trailers there, Edd505 bought his Kz 5th wheel at Quartzsite from a dealer out of Washington State, so just because one dealer is a sponsor dozen't mean that other dealers are not there ... One owner here on the form took video's an posted on U-tube of going thought different Kz trailers I believe it was last year ...
On the not swaying LOL, we were thinking of toy haulers an I was almost feeling the same way about not swaying till I walked thought the 5th wheel before this one, I an the DW fell in love with the floor plan thus we had a 5th wheel an not a toy hauler
Again Good luck !!!
