Short term, I'm rehabbing my '02 D'max as I just don't tow all that heavy. I =am= going to get a 3500 Duramax SRW to replace it, though. Hopefully, next year, but after refreshing the '02, I may wait a couple years and see what the market will be on a used '21. :-) "10 forward gears" sounds =real= nice.

Congrats on the new truck, nice color. I can't say what's worse, waiting to get enough miles on the truck so you can tow, or waiting for something to tow. Used truck values out here are insane, Ford offered me a stupid amount for my '17, so away it went. We moved to a '20 F350 SRW.

Thanks all, new truck is awesome. Still working on getting the break-in miles on it. We do have a bumper pull to tow, but no camping plans until next Spring. Christmas, hunting seasons, Thanksgiving, all taking time away from RV travel.
nvguy, congrats on your new f350 as well!

Christmas, hunting seasons, Thanksgiving, all taking time away from RV travel. nvguy, congrats on your new f350 as well! Thanks It's surprising how much changed from '17 to '20. Around town mileage is certainly better, went from 16 MPG to 18 MPG. Yes, despite what the sales guy says, Ford still tells you to get 1,000 miles on the clock before towing. Not that you wouldn't want to drive a new truck.

nvguy Cool, new ride, my Ford dealer has offered to buy my 2005 F350 an number of times, states he will give me top dollar because he knows the history of the truck since they have taken car of it since I owned it ... But I keep thinking an hearing that the word "DEF" an I don't have to add any of that with my old truck
Then I'd have to drill holes in cab an bed for antenna's, switch out 5th wheel hitch, remount all the radios
in cab again an find room to put the DW in after mounting all that stiff, she might have to ride in the back
with the dogs Ugh Safe Travels Chuck

Sales must be down, got an email & a mailed offer to by my 2015 f350 as a desirable vehicle, send this code for the offer. Truck was in twice for warranty work and a recall at that dealer.

As mine is in the Ford dealership now with the fuel problem, the sales manager asked if I wanted to trade. He stated they can't find enough clean used trucks or cars for that matter. Prices are so high on new ones people are going used. My grandfathers plan was to buy a 2 year old car every 2 years. That way, some one else took the hit on the value and worked out the bugs. When he sold it 2 years later, it was a good deal for the next guy and easy to turn. I have done that myself in the past, but I jumped in with both feet on the Super Duty. Kirt

I've been looking for late-model used stuff, and the prices aren't that much lower than new! :-) Lyle

As I said in another thread, I'd love to do a body-off resto on my '02 D'max and drop an LBZ and 6-speed Allie in it. Probably put a 1t axle under the rear, too.

chulavista We have a 2006 Ford F350 Crew cab long bed with a 6.0 which has been bullet proofed an love it, we looked at new F350 an F450 an the price has dropped ... The Ford dealer in Toledo Ohio last year had 20 Dually's on their lot with different towing packages, it was a real chore to keep me from thinking about trading in there on the spot Ugh !!! But the DW would have killed me if I left for an oil change an came back with a truck change Ugh !!! Safe Travels Chuck
