*UPDATE* Another week has gone by and I placed another call. Of course, it did not get answered or returned. Can you tell us the name of the person you are trying to contact?

doublewa Please read the Kz rally folder for my response Chuck I did. So basically, if you don't go to the KZ Rally, you're pretty much on your own. That's what I got out of it. doublewa Not my intent, your dealer is your rep to Kz, if you have a bad dealer an if you had the time yes the rally is a short cut to have something fixed under warranty pretty much ... I know that many owners can not attend, I also know that many dealers pull the name game an say that the factory is the blame for what is happening when it is them .... My intent was to show the difference between the National Rally an a Regional Rally in my other post, not to say you are screwed if you do not come to the rally .... At the region level things could change if you had a dealer or dealers who were willing to support a Kz Region rally, Kz is very much in favor of regional rally's .... The overall 5th wheel line manager at Kz use to work for Montana an knows well what regional rally's look like an how they can support a product, (see the Montana owners from) he stated he would like to see Kz region rally in the future ... As I stated in my other post it is getting dealers an people to support such that makes these rally's work at every level ... My intent here was to have short post's about the good an bad dealers either in service or sales so people could avoid having major problems right up front ... I am sorry that you are having this amount of trouble with one door, I myself had a problem with a cabinet door my dealer said was fixed an it wasn't ... The DW an I are lucky we are retired an can attend, If I had not gone to the rally I would have had it fixed locally here at my RV repair shop on my dime... Was it the fault of my dealer yes !, was it the fault of Kz no ! but Kz heard about it a couple of times !!! Safe Travels Chuck

The person at the dealer? Absolutely. I haven't called KZ (don't even know what the CS number is), I'm trying to go through my dealer. I'm also trying not to be a crumudgen about a simple door as other people have more serious problems, it's just the principle of the thing. I would be much less irritated if I could just get a call back.

I thought that you tried to contact KZ. There is a gentleman there that I call the dead letter office, anything that goes in there simply dies. There is (was?) a couple of good guys on the floor that I could work with, but they would have limited ability getting special order parts to you.

Nope, but if you have the number to KZ I will gladly take it. I just tried calling the person at my dealer that is handling this and I was sent right to voicemail.

It might be best to email KZ, that way you have a written record of what you requested. If you have no satisfaction in a couple of days, email again and call.

I received a call this morning. Turns out that my entire cabinet assembly is at the dealer. The woman I was calling that was handling it had been let go (I guess no one checked her messages or followed up on anything she was working on). He said "Yeah, this cabinet assembly has been sitting here waiting for you. Again, when I asked the guy why this girl still had a voicemail, was still listed as a company employee, and no one followed up after her termination, all he could come up with is "I'm sorry this fell through the cracks". He then tells me that the deal MUST install the cabinet and that if he releases the parts to me it wil void my entire warranty. Chuck, Lynnmor. . . how true is that? Cuz I smell phooey.

I believe that you are protected by the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act, see page 9 here: linkBasically I think that only the part or repair done by you, and problems directly resulting from that, can be exempted from warranty. In other words, if the cabinet door falls off and punches a hole in the flooring, it is on you. If the water system springs a leak, they can't deny warranty for that repair.

I agree with lynnmor If you do the work then they are off the hook if the door falls off, but if they are replacing the complete cabinet for just one door what a deal Of course I'd make sure the cabinet they sent match's the others which I know you will, but I have to say here was an example of a dealer blaming the MFG when it was the dealer possibly 85 percent of the time if not more ... I would be also aware if it's the wrong color cabinet it may again be on the dealer not Kz, thus this would be the time to call CS an ask what the dealer ordered .... Of course I hope it won't take as long to replace the cabinet as it did waiting on the door, I'd ask that question an also ask for three or four names an phone numbers like the service manager's if more than one, his or their boss's name's an all the parts guy's numbers an names, you never know when one of them will be let go Ugh ... Since they dropped the ball you would think that they would put you right up front, I would think, but as we all know that won't happen but you never know ... My dealer inspected, put sealant across the front an back caps, checked my propane system, winterized my trailer in five hours, they were so fast they missed the bad propane hose that they said was good. It only took me 3 months to get in for a 5 hour job which maybe took 2 hours to do, that almost brings them up to the standard of a government worker LOL ... Safe travels Chuck

CNEER RV in Equinunk PA...you will not find a better dealer or service dept. I have owned rv since 1983 and was a rep for the original Coachmen RV company and they are the best you can get.

Looks like this thread morphed into something more than it was intended for. Kind of difficult to sort through good/bad dealers when one has to read about every transaction at a dealer/dealers.

Poor - Camping World, Lakewood, NJ and Swedesbough,NJ- if you didn't buy from them you can't get an appointment for anything for up to 4 to 6 months - absolutely not, unless you're buying something that needs installation. Ah,the almighty dollar.

Unfortunately, these people are the closest RV repair shop. Nearest KZ dealer after them is another 1.5 hours past them. I have read your having trouble. Long story short, I bought in AZ form a WA dealer & live in NM. Local dealer wouldn't do a thing because I didn't buy there. I called KZ customer service & they authorized a local RV repair to fix issues 2 times. KZ will not pay for mobile RV repair to come to you. He was in contact with KZ and was shipped the parts needed an asked to ship back the defective. I also found a dealer in El Paso that was happy to fix it, you know where I buy the next one. Ah,the almighty dollar. Swedesboro? There's a Camping World in Swedesboro now? They sound as worthless as the one out here in Denver. I only ask because I am a Vineland native. I'm assuming your from Cape May?

I bought my first camper from Bells Campers in Bartlesville,ok. in !984. In 1988 bought from another company had the trailer for two years had troubles with it took it to Bells for service they fix my problem and treated me like an old friend. To make a long story short I've bought five fifth wheel trailers from them. They are good honest people, family owned the Grandson is getting ready to take over the business and he is very friendly and appears will do great with the family business. Their sales staff has been with them a long time as with the service dept employees. One other thing; when you buy a rig from them and pick it up it's ready to go and everything works. They also winterize and check the roof and all parts of the rig I've never had any problems with them and for an old retired grumpy police officer that's saying something. They are a good company with a large selection of KZ's and another brand.

Bells gave us the best price both for the 5vr and our trade. Great bunch of people, good dealings. We would definitely deal with them again.
