Hey Chuck ... RonC here,
I have only heard good things about Sailun tires ... but I am a Goodyear guy, so my advice could be biased😜. If I were you, I would run G rated tires ... either Goodyear G614's (my preference) or the G rated Sailuns. This is predicated on you keeping each individual wheel weight under 3,400 lbs. The G614's are rated at 3,780 lbs @ 110 psi. so they would be safe at those wheel weights and are rated at 75 mph (L rated). I used G614's for about a year and had no problems at all.
Since I am full time and heavy, I have chosen to upgrade to 17.5" high spec aluminum wheels and Goodyear G114 H rated tires. IMO, overrated tires are an important safety precaution for these big 5th wheels. A blow out is usually damaging to the rig, always inconvenient and potentially dangerous, this is to be avoided at all costs. I know I am "over tired" but that is my choice and by design. I want to do everything I can to avoid tire related issues as we full time across the country. It's a choice. Not recommending this approach is for everyone, but the LEAST amount of tire upgrade I would be comfortable with would be Goodyear G614's (G rated @75 mph @110 psi).
Be safe my friend ... look forward to seeing you at the 2018 rally.

I don't know what I could add that hasn't been said. Jetzen and DW hit it out of the park. A great time was had by all and as RVDUDE said, it was like a bunch of old friends had gotten together. I am really looking forward to next year's rally. I will say that the level of support that the KZ technicians offered was beyond expectations. The VERY BEST warranty experience I have ever had. Just awesome! This alone was worth the trip, but as it turns out it was just one of many fantastic experiences. LOVED IT❤️

Jokes appreciated, the new suspension seems to be as good as hoped for. Make the holes bigger ... the bean bags were fine. So Hilde's work was good ... yours not so much! See you guys next year!

Sorry for not answering ... not diligent about keeping up on the forums. I went to the Truma website and found a dealer near me.

You can pull the good tire on a ramp out of lego's to change the flat & Anderson sells a tire changing ramp. I have Coach net road insurance, like chuck a phone call and watch the tech change it. joecamper Lippert advises not to lift the unit with the levelers; "The use of the Ground Control to support the unit for any reason other than that which it is intended is prohibited by Lippert's limited warranty. The Lippert Ground Control is designed as a "leveling" system only and should not be used to provide service for any reason under the coach such as changing tires or servicing the leveling system." It may not change the Lippert recommendation, but the 6 jack systems on the new rigs are not the "Ground Control" units, they are now called "Level Up". FWIW, I was once on a site that was so sloped that the two right wheels were off the ground when using the system as intended ... "to level the unit".

My status (right under my name RonC) says "Weekend RVer" ... I'm now Full Time but I can't figure out how to change that notation. Suggestions. I went to edit my profile and couldn't make it happen.

So glad I wasn't on the road, traveling, I would most likely have had a real mess on my hands. I have 2 mirrors attached to outside walls both above the bathroom and bedroom sinks. The DW wanted me to open up the trailer yesterday and to my surprise I found the mirror from the bedroom on the floor. In all their wisdom KZ mounted the mirrors to the wall with double sided tape.
Geez, Well add this to the list of stuff I going to tell them about at the rally. This might turn into a bitchfest.
Thankfully the mirror did not get damaged, but if we were on the road I can just imagine that I would have had broken glass everywhere. Well it's off to the Home Depot this morning to find something to reinstall the mirrors more securely.
If you people with Durango's are planning on traveling anytime soon.......better check those mirrors Yep ... they do that. There are a LOT of staples used also. Assume your shelves need to be reinforced, and you'll probably be correct.

Just FYI ... wife and I are Vegans who eat fish (Pescatarians). We can usually work our way around any menu so don't worry about it, just wanted you to know that for us, a wiener roast will be a social event but not an eating event.

Not really sure how to register the food for the Pot Luck ... Conrad 2017 ... what does that mean? I guess I'm not the most technically astute person, so help would be appreciated.

Well, it wasn't a stupid question. I think it's been made clear that supports aren't needed.

No cabinets, but I have a couple of drawers that seem to want to open during travels. Haven't figured out how to stop it, but it's just something to check when setting up. Nothing broken ... yet.

We use an oxygenics shower head. It's heavy so when we move it lays on the shower floor in a towel.

Those Goodyear's are the greatest things since sliced bread, according to EVERYBODY. But...be aware that your stock wheels may not be up to the task. The Goodyear 14 ply inflation recommendation is 110 psi. I hope you can find (cast into the inside of your wheels perhaps) a stamp, which will probably tell you that 80 psi is the max on your stock aluminum KZ wheels. (The higher pressure takes special valve stems, too).I have a 318 RLT on order, and I accidentally discovered that KZ actually will do the upgrade. The same wheel manufacturer makes the heavier duty wheels that still look like KZ wheels. But, since you already have stock wheels / tires, you obviously can't upgrade from new, as I was fortunate to do. Amazon sells these tires for ~300 bucks each, but wheels are a different story. You might be able to get a set from KZ - not sure if they will let you have them sans tires... Good luck! Actually, my stock KZ wheels are stamped "110 PSI". It is only visible with the tire removed as it is stamped on the inside of the wheel. The valve stems were changed out when the Goodyears were installed.

Honestly, RV warranty is a murky subject. Unless faced with a HUGE issue, it's less hassle to just pay for the small stuff yourself. A full timer isn't likely to be near the SELLING DEALER and other dealers are spotty regarding their desire/ability to support KZ's "two year warranty". I tell people to take this into consideration when negotiating price. The warranty advertised won't be the warranty received and this is a "lever" to be used in the negotiation process. In this regard, KZ is it's own worst enemy.

From what I have heard on the "street" talking to other owners and to reps, KZ is very resistant to customer input. They base their changes and improvements on information provided to them by there dealers. I believe they look at this forum and others that pertain to KZ they just really do not take the consumer opinion very seriously. Read more: kzfamilyforum.com/thread/1586/kz-follow-threads-curious#ixzz4lhAwLaJ9There is a school of thought that the DEALER is the CUSTOMER of the Manufacturer. The RETAIL CUSTOMER is the CUSTOMER of the DEALER. It seems that KZ subscribes to this ... which is a mistake and may account for their relatively small footprint in the industry. I ordered a Durango Gold and with about 2 months left BEFORE estimated delivery date, my wife decided she wanted a residential refrigerator ... they said it was "too late" ... I said "I'm writing the check and it's not too late" ... they said they would put me to the back of the line, I said OK ... this isn't an emergency purchase. Then they said that was the last change I could make ... or what, I would be forced to buy something else? KZ is confused about who is paying their bills.
