There is a number of videos showing various systems, perhaps this one is yours: link

Even with a gravity fill you either need to lift water jugs or have a pump do the work. I rearranged things so that I can pump from a jug or draw water in and send it to the onboard tank. I also added a gravity fill port, but rarely use it.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. I am convinced that any RV needs to be garaged whenever it is not being used. You are faced with some hard choices about repairs, selling, trade in or getting out of the RV ownership till you have storage. Yes, I am only guessing about your storage arrangements. I can only wish you well.

Whatever you do, determine if there is plumbing behind the walls and make provision to service it if needed. Often the plumbing can be accessed from the opposite side, just keep all this in mind.

You are wise to provide a better surround for the shower. Any big box home center will have shower surround materials that are easy to install, so check out Home Depot and Lowe's and ask about your options.

I am sorry to say that aluminum sided trailers are next to impossible to keep clean. It would really be to your benefit to keep it under roof, not only for a cleaner appearance but to preserve many things. Anyway, I like Reliable Products to wash my trailer. You can mix it to the strength you need to remove the black streaks, just be careful that you don't damage the finish. Keeping the roof clean will go a long way to reduce the black running down the sides. There are black streak remover products made especially for the purpose, but I find that some are OK and some are of little value. I wouldn't use wax products till you get it very clean, any wax that you already put on should be stripped to get down to the dirt, then you can wax it. I like NuFinish but the new ceramic products might be better. As you can see, I am trying one last time to be civil.

I also added a wood plate also. I used molly bolts and liquid nails to attach it. Just remember if it is on an outside wall that they are only 2" thick. Depending on model they can be much less than 2".

I believe that you have a "stick & tin" trailer, meaning conventional wood studs with aluminum siding on exterior walls. The magnet method only works with the smooth side trailers where steel sheet metal is glued in place under the interior siding. You probably have wood or plywood under the paneling for the TV support. Since you plan to add a wood backing, try using an electronic stud finder and check a larger area. Drill tiny holes first and probe with a straightened paper clip to be sure that you have solid wood before making them larger. You can get a filler to patch the tiny holes if necessary. On interior walls, you might be able to lift the paneling and peek under, if not you can use a longer wire to probe the holes and find the studs.

I don't know the particulars on your wiring, perhaps you can download information from the manufacturer. It does sound like you have a plan. If you do this troubleshooting, why not follow thru and fix it? Staying away from dealers is the best plan. I am in PA and absolutely hate the road salt, it makes no sense to destroy vehicles in the name of safety, those that can't handle winter driving should stay home. I spray Fluid film on everything in the axle area, it helps stop rusting and lubricates the springs, if you do use it be sure to keep it out on the brakes.

Well I got the trailer back after 6 weeks, the floor is fix but now my 1 tank heater does not light up. I guess when they moved the tank it got damaged or something. I never use the tank heaters so wondering if its even worth dealing with again. What do you guys think? If they messed up the wires there may be a slight risk of a short and that can cause a fire if energized. Disable the system or get it fixed properly.

If these are the locks with the CH741 key, know that everyone has a key to your locks. You might consider replacing them with locks of a different number and all keyed alike, they are readily available. If you have something else, post a photo.

I can see that the flexible hose would be easier to run and require less fittings, but the larger issue is the use of improper barbed fittings and the hose hanging free with no support. If you change to PEX, be sure that you provide some support and have the proper PEX tools. The water pump should have hose that is much longer than necessary to reduce noise.

Well here it is colder than you know what and I have another water leak. Get out this AM and there's an icicle hanging from the bottom of he RV just under the water control panel. Brave the cold and open up the wall to get to the back of the panel. Some engineer at KZ thinks it's OK to put a 1/2" PEX clamp on a braided hose. The hardest part was getting the d*mn PEX clamp off with out breaking the plastic fitting. I held the clamp with a pliers and used a side cutter to bend the tab back and forth until the metal fatigued, I replaced the PEX clamp with a standard hose clamp. NOTE to engineers: PEX is NOT the same size a braided hose, hose clamps are made for hose, PEX clamps are not. Please design a tool to remove the PEX clamps if you continue to use the wrong hardware on the water fittings and note in the owners manual how to replace the wrong clamps. They also clamp braided hose onto PEX barbed fittings, they have been doing this for years. Hose barbs and PEX barbs are a different size and shape. I don't think you can send a note to the engineers, there are none.

[/div]
Even when connected to Shore power 13 is ok?
No, it should be about 13.6 after it was plugged in for awhile. There will be a small amount of variation caused by temperature and resistance in wiring but the converter will output more than 13 if working correctly.

What would you use to power the battery blanket? If you have shore power there is no concern about battery voltage dropping.

I actually got the factory blueprints for mine and found that there was indeed no reasonable framing to use. It wouldn't hurt to ask for prints, maybe you'll get lucky. What I did find was that the little gutter above the slide was leaking because it was never installed properly, I redid that with stainless screws and caulking tape in the right place.

As I mentioned RV deep cycle batteries can be drawn down to dead. Just don’t let them freeze, then they will not last. Any lead acid battery will have longer life if kept fully charged. A deep cycle battery will tolerate being drawn down better but they will last longer if not subjected to that abuse.

As you already know, the truck will be overloaded when ready for travel. You can do some enhancements to help it carry the weight but nobody will give you their blessing. You are well into 3500 territory. Perhaps if you removed the cummings engine and replaced it with a Cummins things would improve.

See if it is possible to remove the panel inside the pass thru storage area. You might get lucky and see a way to poke wires up from there.

Are you a jerk on purpose or just a know it all. You fail to answer the question and focus on the obvious. With your attitude not sure I would respect what you thought anyway... Happy Holiday PEACE OUT You are correct, I am really stupid for taking the time to offer some help. Please refer your questions to folks that know nothing.
