Hey, no problem, I've had lots of issues solved by the same sort of posts!

Did some searching tonight for a replacement for Photobucket. I tried this one, Postimage. postimages.org/I signed up and tried it. It seems to work fine. I replaced the Photobucket images on my last post "A couple of Mods to our Sportsmen Showstopper" in the Upgrades and Modifications board with the same images stored on Postimage. Seems to work fine. Time will tell Thanks for the suggestion, I also gave it a try and it seems to work just fine for me too.

Just a quick note on the original question. I had an extra water pump from an earlier RV. I hooked up the pump to the fresh water inlet and another hose down in my extra water container. Hooked up the pump to my batteries and wa-la the pump quickly filled up the tank. My drain for the fresh tank is just up to the side of my water controls, so easy to see it when full.
Her is a photo of the pump hooked up to the "water in" connection.

When I had a flat on my 2011 Durango 325RL, I just simply raised the whole thing up with the leveling jacks. Works great. I lifted one whole side, not just one tire.

The Good ... Humphrey RV in Grand Junction, Colorado. Sales people are first class, can't seem to do enough for you. Parts department has everything. Every time I needed something they got me right in, especially in the first several months. Will be buying another RV soon, went to several dealers and just didn't get very good "vibes" from them. Definitely will buy from Humphrey's.

I have Maxxis on my Durango. Got about 6k on them so far, I like them, if for nothing else than peace of mind.

I have a short bed 2004 GMC and I use a Pullrite slider. I wouldn't be without it. I can turn more than 90 degrees and the camper is still about 6 inches from the cab. It's worth the money just for the peace of mind.
My 2 cents.

When I bought my Durango, I had them add a receiver hitch rated at 3,000 pounds ... it was installed by a local shop that does that sort of work. It looks really professional, and the bumper doesn't now "give" at all. You might consider the same solution. You are right, the factory bumper is all but useless as far as bike racks or similar loads.

When I went from Colorado to Alabama a couple years ago, I usually tried to get in 400 miles. That required a couple stops for fuel, which usually was a good time to get out and stretch the legs, etc.

I've got a 2014 Durango with the fridge in the slide. I can attest that it does have a hard time keeping up when the temps are really high (90s and up). Start up is also lengthened when it's that warm. When it's cool (50s or less) start up is easily just a few hours. When it's hot, it's a must to start up in the evening the day before and even then it barely is ready by morning. Also as alluded above, frequent opening definitely is hard on the unit.
I think I will probably look at the above fixes for this. didn't think of that. I have some spare computer fans that should fill the bill.

I use the Pull Rite Super Glide. Never have to get out to make it work. But, I do have the issue of having to be pretty much be in line to hitch up. If that's a problem, I simply remove the hitch head from the frame and hook up that way. I most definitely would use a slider in a short bed truck.

Short bed or long bed? Makes a difference. If a short bed, I'd go with a slider.

These issues are exactly why I didn't get the auto leveling. Many other forums were full of "it leaves the camper way too high" stories. I have a remote jack system and I can get leveled really quick. When the auto leveling works good, it's really awesome, but I like my remote and doing it myself just fine. Good luck with figuring out your issue.
My 2 cents.

Well I was wondering about my Provider ST235/80R16 Nitrogen Filled tires, so I started looking at Nitrogen Filled tires and if I could just add regular air to them if they were low ...... Well after about 30 pages of mathematics I came to the conclusion that filling your tires with Nitrogen is like buying a car or trailer. A hundred people say it's good and a hundred people say your wasting your money and there is only a .002 difference at any given time Ugh .... Sooooooooo I believe I will just add regular air when needed since I check my tires on our trips ever morning along with the Oil and water .... An comments Good choice! Better to have the tires properly inflated all the time then to run around looking for nitrogen on tires that are low. For our purposes, nitrogen is just a money making gimmick. I agree. I've always thought the whole nitrogen thing was just a money making scheme.

I had a reel added on when I ordered my Durango. I agree, it's the cat's meow.

I always wondered about that, so when my truck was hooked up and I measured mine, it was about 4 or 5 inches than the advertised height.

I guess I'm the lucky one, my gauges for all three tanks always seems to be accurate. They're usually off right after moving from one area to another, but after a short while, they always seem right.

Try RV.Net. It's a very large, very active RV site. You should find lots of help there.
