I have a Durango 1500 D284RLT on my short list for my next FW, but am getting discouraged by KZ's lack of response to trying to some questions answered. I did get the name of someone who is supposed to be the West or SW sales rep and called him but didn't get through. Left a message nearly a month ago and have never heard back. I called KZ in IN again, and have left messages on 2 occasions, as well as filling out an online form, but I've never heard back on either front. If anyone has a current national KZ dealer list, I'd love to have it. Biggest issue is that there is exactly ONE KZ dealer in the state of AZ and they have exactly ONE KZ unit in their inventory, though it's not a Durango. I will not buy an RV without actually sitting in one but it's hard as hell to find dealers in other states with the highly restricted dealer search app KZ uses. TIA...

I've never tried to contact them directly, always gone through my dealer. For what it's worth, I've had my Durango for 2.5 years and have only experienced very minor problems with it (knock on e-wood).
Good luck!

I'm wondering if you might have some better luck contacting their parent company Thor Industries (purchased KZ in April of 2014) to get a fix on what the situation is with KZ. With the purchase of the company last year things may be in flux

Try contacting Charlie at cwade@kz-rv.com He was a great factory Rep resource when I bought my Durango Gold 355 RLT at Ketelsen Campers in Denver. By the way, Ketelsen keeps a great selection. Their website is: wegocamping.com

If you call the Receptionist is Sherley Miller and the person to talk to for the Durango product line is Bob Carter or email him at rcarter@kz-rv.com

Gives me an even better excuse to head to CO. Got a granddaughter in Aurora and a nephew who's a 1st year Cadet at the USAFA. :-) Lyle

All I'm trying to find out is if there is a new KZ dealer coming to AZ and where I might find a D284RLT somewhere in the West, without having to go zip code by zip code to find dealers. Lyle

Well, I emailed Charles Wade over a week ago, and no response. I'll try Bob Carter, I guess.

I emailed Bob Carter yesterday, and got an immediate response from him. He is Parts & Warranty, not Sales, but said he'd forward my questions to someone who could answer them. Just didn't want anyone to think that he was "THE" Durango guy; he's not. I'll post back if/when I do hear from someone.

Gotta say, KZ's customer service is NOT impressing me one bit. Can't get anyone to answer the phone at HQ, can't get the SW sales rep to email or return calls and the one guy that did respond, isn't in Sales and, assuming he passed my info on, nobody has contacted me since. If this is the kind of response we're likely to get =if= we buy a KZ and =if= we have a problem, then I'm seriously going to have to re-think buying a KZ. Frustrating...

P.S. Does anyone know if management actually reads this forum? Do they know it exists? Do they even care?

That's a bummer. I've always gone through my dealer. Good luck to you!

Was afraid things like this would happen after Thor had acquired KZ. Don't know if I will purchase another KZ!

We have a great dealer that always takes good care of us so we never have to deal with the factory. The RV is only as good as your dealer!

I think the KZ dealer locator should allow you to put in your zip code and select a distance, then return results with contact information for all dealers within that radius versus just showing the closest dealer. This gives you options as far as which dealer you want to work.
Beyond that, I'm thinking KZ and other OEMs may not be set-up with the staff and resources to handling direct contact with individual customers, relying on dealers to handle that type of contact.

Well, one dealer is =highly= unlikely to tell a potential customer about another dealer that's coming in to their area... :-) This is one of the questions I'm trying to get answered. Lyle

As I said earlier, there is ONE KZ dealer in the State of Arizona, so the locator is worthless. Don't know about you, but I don't have time to sit around with a zip code list of all the states in the West to try and find other dealers. Lyle

Lyle I don't know where you are located but there may be another dealer a mile across the state line that is even closer to you than the dealer in AZ. The KZ dealer locator should allow you to view not just your own state but surrounding states. You wouldn't need to sit with a zip code list. You type in your zip code, a radius and the locator does the rest of the work providing city, state, telephone, e-mail address to each dealership within the radius you selected. This is not rocket science. Beyond that, the closest dealer (geographically) may not be the closest as far as time to reach that dealer. My closest dealer is in CT BUT they were closest as the crow flies, across LI Sound so unless I had a car that was also a hovercraft or airplane it was not the "closest" dealer, especially given the road to get there was one of the most congested in the NE.

Can't do that with KZ's locator. All you get is Country (USA or Canada) and zip code. No radius or even state selection available. Lyle
