I'm interested in the G358RPQ floor plan and I noticed the ground control is externally mounted with no sort of security for it (that I can see anyway). In my mind, someone could come by and push buttons. I don't know if the other floor plans are like this as well but if so, have you had issues with it from a prankster pressing buttons?

I'm not sure why you would mount any electronics outside. I'm fortunate enough to have an RV they actually put in a cabinet on the passenger side. I recall a member did a mount for the control. Maybe someone will recall who/where/what it was called?

I own a 358RPQ and don’t have any worries whatsoever about someone messing with the control. Usually people don’t know how to turn it on anyway.

I have a D290RLT it has the outside controls; I don't think it is very good idea to have them out there but I'm not overly worried about someone messing with it. As Cherokee said they most likely would not know how to activate it.

Reminds me of when we were shopping in the 2014-15 time frame and looked at a Jayco Eagle HT. The entertainment center was in the front corner of the curb side slide and rather than run wires for the outside speakers forward, where they'd be under the awning, where people are actually going to sit, they just mounted the speakers on the side of the slide. One of the dumbest things I've ever seen on an RV. Ranks right up there with the stupid solid steps.

I have a 382mbq with the controller outside, so far I have not had any problems but it would take someone knowing how to turn it on to do anything

I posted my question in one of the KZ facebook pages and has received 20+ responses. No one reported it being an issue. This does set my mind at ease a bit. Thanks, everyone.

Even if pranksters are not an issue, this would still provide some protection from the elements.

Excellent! Thanks for sharing this link. Even if pranksters are not an issue, this would still provide some protection from the elements. Frankly, that's what I'd be way more concerned about than a-holes messing with my rig. I've seen where the jack controls (not leveling) are outside and I =would= be worried about some punk kids in a CG messing with it. What I was =really= worried about was on my old Komfort. The fresh water dump was 1.25" with a simple blade valve that was easily, and quickly, accessed from the LR corner of the rig. With some of the pranksters in my family, mixed with many beers, I was worried about one of them pulling it and either just causing it to drip a bit or actually dumping the whole tank. Where we boondocked it was a 30 mile round trip to the nearest water source and they all knew that I'd 1) take any water that they had and 2) make =them= go get me more water if they didn't have enough.
