Good evening, I purchased a new 358RPQ and it has Hispec tires on it load range G. Has anyone heard any negative comments about these tires? Anything positive would be great too! Thank you in advance

they came stock on our 391, drove 1500 miles round trip to KZ raly last year with no problem. Heading to Florida Keys this spring. From what I see they are speed rated "M" which is 81 mph,, We travel with the camper no more than 62 to 65 My opinion is speed is a big factor for blowouts. See a lot of campers pass us while traveling.. we also just installed the Lippert TPMS last year at the Rally.

Thank you for replying. The max mph for us is 63-64. It’s a comfortable speed and being retired why go faster😎.

We bought a new 326 RLT last year with Hi Spec "E" rated tires. We have put about 7k miles on since last June. So far they show little to no wear. My previous Gold had "G" Providers, they were showing wear at 4k miles. Enjoy your Gold! Kirt

I want to add tire failures are not only related to speed, but to ambient temp. Out West here you see a lot more evidence of semi truck tire failures in the summer months.

I'll add tire pressure, I check tires every time before starting a trip and I do not have TPMS. I stop I walk around and look the RV over, nothing loose, tires not showing low, just looking for anything wrong, old trucking habit.

My 333 came with E rated Hi-Spec tires and so far they’ve been fine. They are 1 1/2 years old, have about 5k miles on them, and so far they show very little wear. Like Edd said above, I check my pressure before every trip and walk around the trailer looking at everything at every stop. Congrats on the new Gold and have fun!

You know you hear about blow outs a lot, but look at the percentage of blow outs compared to the number of campers on the road,, I mean people post about blow outs but no one posts about not having a blow out.. figure how many chinese tires are on the road right now without any issues...

I had 8 Chinese tires between the car hauler & RV, one blew on the car hauler on its 2nd trip. That was enough for me. Went with Goodyear endurance. My last tire failure was due to the valve stem failing, so its all metal valve stems now.

Sometimes a belt will shift & by checking often you might catch it in time, I was lucky I caught mine but it's quite a price to pay if you miss it.

One blow out on my prior 5W, $1500 damage to a Jayco Eagle. I have always run LT tire since, I just replaced a set on my 2017 with Sailuns because of all the good reports. Then Sailun had a recall but the good, I had a year of free travel, Sailun replaced all 5 for me at no cost other than just over an hour of my time.

One of our tires on our new RV exploded and did about 3000 damage. TPMS installed and pressures good. No warning not happy and replaced them all. 3000 miles on the hispec. Made in China

FWIW, I've had 1 tire go flat on my FW since I started RVing in '04. It was on my old Komfort and, had I had a TPMS it likely wouldn't have been as big an issue. I ended up running on it for well over a mile before I realized "sumpin' ain't right" and pulled over. Had to get out a set of dykes to cut some of the tire apart as it had started wrapping around the axle. Biggest issue has been tread separations. On the Komfort, in the 13 years I owned it, I replaced the tires 3 times and out of the 12 tires, 10 had tread separations. I stopped buying BFGs for my truck after I had 7 out of 8 "Trail" tires separate. Replaced with Coopers and had 1 separate in the 5 years I had the first set on.

We recently purchased a 2021 D Gold G391RKQ which had the Hispec tires on it. Not being familiar with that brand, I did a lot of research before venturing out on the road with them. After all the research, I decided to replace all of the Hispec tires with Hercules tires. Very good results so far !

Update… I recently replaced mine with G rated Carlisles. My Hi-Specs only had 10k miles and still looked ok but I was beginning to get nervous about continuing on with 3 year old Chinese tires. I also wanted to level the trailer better as it rode just a little nose high. The Carlisles are LT235/85R16s so they’re a little taller and leveled it out nicely.
