Hello all. I am new here. We've had a real RV for about 4-5 years now. It's been very good for us! We currently have a 2008 WolfPack 295WP. It is a nice "open garage" toyhauler. It is older now, and we have pulled it further now than the first owner did. So we will put some money into it while we shop. Eventually it will be retired to our camp when we buy that land.
Probably 60% of our time is "primitive camping". (I hate to call a 33ft RV powered by a generator primitive, but in the RV vernacular, it is.) The rest of the time is in military, VFW or American Legion campgrounds. A few regular campgrounds along the way also.
We will put some money into this camper, but are looking for it's replacement. After looking, it was hard to find a replacement with out a slide, or that was under 10k. Since it was time to change my truck, I bought a new Ram 3500 dually that will pull more than any toyhauler we intend buy.
We found the KZ RV VENOM V3517DK and the SPORTSTER 280TH. These have the most open spaces and the most usable windows we have found so far. So I will be researching these boards, among others, to see what's what with KZ. I usually do not buy new, but perhaps could be persuaded if the build quality warrants it. If it is the same as other manufacturers, I rather buy used and not deal with a dealership/manufacturer and warranty. I am also not a fan of unnecessary computerization. I am decent with electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair.
I will be looking for a dealership about Raleigh NC. I did find one and they will be open tomorrow.
Looking for good conversations here.
