I just bought a new Durango rkt and when doing the walk thru I tried to listen really close on the tv connection but he lost me I still haven’t picked up my camper yet they ordered me a hitch and it didn’t fit so reckon the used the pony express for shipping since they ordered a different one 10 days ago but if I ever get it I’m expecting trouble getting the satellite hooked up . My old camper had 2 satellite connections one for living room and one for bedroom, which they labeled wrong but that’s a story all in itself, but the new one only has one satellite connection and to get it on the bedroom tv you have to use a jumper somehow anyway he explained it but I lost it trying to remember all the other stuff he was telling us . This new one is lots different than our old one but we’ll figure it all out as we go . The best I remember he said the satellite connection goes only to the tv in the living room and all I had to do was hook up the satellite to get it to work where he lost me was getting it to work in the bedroom.

sg Welcome to the Kz Form an Family
I would think that most RV dealer could have a 5th wheel hitch in a matter of days, both RV dealers near us state they can have a 5th wheel the next day depending one which one we wanted... The RV small RV dealer we bought our new 5th hitch had them in stock an within an hour we had a new 5th wheel, of course we already had the rails in from the old one
As far as the satellite hook-up I would demand that they have a RV tech go over the hook-up again when you pick up your unit ... Have the RV tech show you a few times an then you do the hookup a few times while the RV tech is standing there along your side ...
Make sure once the satellite hook-up is done that it works an if not then why an have them fix it, don't take we are to busy an can you come back, that may take weeks an in some case's months, make darn sure it works an you are sure you know how to switch from cable, regular TV using the amplifier an back to satellite before letting the RV Tech leave or you pull off the lot ....
Why do I say this, if you have read here on the form owners have found crossed wiring, loose connectors, bad amplifiers an in a very few case's all of the before stated ....
I can't say it enough, DON't ASK, DEMAND that they show you that the satellite hook-up works an how it's done, you paid allot of money for your unit I'm sure, an the dealer should honor your request ...
Again Welcome to the Kz Family an Form ....
May you have many enjoyable camping trips

Unless you live somewhere without electricity having to wait 10 days for a 5th wheel hitch is crazy. What Chuck said is exactly right. You take the coach, and it will be months before they can fit you in the schedule. Try shooting some video with your phone or camera as the guy explains what goes where. Easier than trying to take notes.

I agree with Chuck, 100%! Also, video the sat connection setup. You can either save it as a video, or transcribe the pertinent parts and create a paper checklist.

I have had multiple issues with my satellite setup. Most of them was bad connections and those have been resolved. But in answer to your question if your wiring is similar to my 384rlt there may be 2 connections near your tv. One is labeled "e" and the other is "f". F is the direct wiring from the side of the camper - on ours it is in the water connection panel. "E" is the wiring direct from the roof of the camper. When you get on the there are 2 connections. One is the "e" wiring to the back of the tv plate and the other is to the bedroom tv. You're supposed to be able to connect both living room and bedroom tvs up but for the life of me, I haven't been able to figure it out. You should be able to request or look in your literature for the correct wiring for your particular unit. As for the connecting my TV in the bedroom from the living room I use a wireless receiver from the living room tv to the bedroom. It works great but the drawback is you are stuck watching the same channel on both tvs. Which fortunately for us, we generally agree on what to watch! Also, if we want to watch tv outdoors, I just take the receiver from the bedroom tv out and hook it up to a tv outside.

I will say that most diagrams for your TV setup (one Page in your manual) is generic in mature, so don't believe every thing it shows you
Also one has to remember to turn off the amplifier behind the bedroom TV when using Cable an even thought we do not have satellite I'm sure this apply to such as well
Why the plugs are marked or labeled "e" and the other is "f" is beyond me, have to ask when we are back at the factory (ugh another question), I would have thought they might have marked them "I" or "D" for Inside an Direct or either "O" or "R" meaning Outside an or Roof ...
I will ask my name sake "Charlie" when I see him at the rally an take down some notes on the subject since he seems to know allot about this TV wiring

Ha! "I" & "D" would be too obvious! If Charlie can tell you how to make the bedroom run off the living room please share. The only thing I haven't tried is hooking up a separate set top box in the bedroom. I'm semi cheap and don't want to pay for another box. I haven't been anywhere with a cable set up so maybe it would work the way it is supposed to. In the meantime, my wireless antenna works great for getting satellite from one location to another. With the hopper's remote I don't even have to run to the living room any longer to change the channel (indoors or out).

Maybe we can ger RVdude to chim in, he has a 384 an runs satellite in his, I would think just changing the jumper on the penal behind the bedroom TV would do the trick but as I stated we don't have satellite so I am shooting in the dark here but will ask about such ...

I do currently have DirecTV (I'm about to tell them where they can go) but I only have one box in the living room. I don't watch tv from the bedroom, it's only on for noise on local channels while I'm getting ready for work or bed. So I'm not any help on your problem.

Well I did see Charlie but had to go over to the factory an visit it with him for a very short time, forgot to ask the question about the connections because we got off on another subject (Quilting) of all things LOL ...
As stated here there is different labels an you have to switch jumpers between the cable an satellite setup, but since we do not have such I myself can't tell you a thing about such ... As stated what I do know is that there has been plenty of loose connectors an such reported since I have been on the form the last two years so it a good Idea to have all those checked out by a good RV repair shop or a satellite tech if you know one, they have all the tools for checking cables an such ...
