The reason the tilt bed must be in the tilted/up position while the slide is closed is not because it will hit the dresser. It needs to be in the up position because there is no support on the end of the bed platform. If left in the down position while the slide is it will break the platform. The base of the bed is stationary, only the ply wood mattress platform and tilt mechanism moves with the slide and there is no support under it if the slide is closed and the bed is flat.

1st I'm sure you checked the batteries in the remote. 2nd you must be almost straight on to get the remote to work. If these two fail on the lower right of the tv you should find the manual.controls

Lol same here add fishers to my list same category as the badger just bigger. Probably asked you this before where in NE Ohio are you?? Im in Andover, on Pymatuning reservoir. Ha! We're in "Sunny Macedonia Ohio" & we'll be camped at Pymatuning State Park (OH side) on the 21st. I've never seen a Fisher, and it doesn't sound like I want to either! I don't mind the Critters as long as they keep their distance. Edd505's Badger is way to close for comfort! There are some mean things that lurk in the swamps and marshes of Pymatuning. The fisher is just one of them, there is also its smaller cousin the mink that hangs out there. Both would sooner fight you than avoid you. Both will definitely rip you a new a-hole. Fishers are what the pilgrims and early colonists called poll cats. They were thought to be extinct but were wrong. In Pa. right now both the fisher and mink are protected. Attachments:

Good morning,
I scanned through many threads on this forum, however could not find one regarding real world pin hitch weights for either the Durango 256RKT or the Durango 321RKT. I know the posted weights are on the websites, however the numbers are generally higher, sometimes by a few hundred lbs depending on the build. Understanding that the PIN weight will increase as you load your trailer, etc. I am just looking for the dry PIN weights for the 256RKT and 321RKT from a delivered unit.
I am looking to order a new unit and want to be realistic about the actual PIN weights prior to making any decisions. Generally this is the deciding factor.
Thanks Corey
Every unit is weighed as it comes off the line as a finished product. Everyone of them will.have a different dry weight, dry pin weight and cargo capacity all dependent on how the unit was optioned and the use of current building materials. It would be rare for two to be exactly the same. The weights listed on the KZ web site will be "close". How you load your trailer and what it weighs " ready to camp" is a much more important measurement.

We have upcoming trips planned that have a number of one night stays and I’m thinking it would be convenient to stay hitched to the tow vehicle. I’m curious about any recommendations or advice out there. A few items I’m wondering about: - Landing gear
- Leveling jacks
- Wheel chocks
- Wheel stabilizers
Any feedback is much appreciated!
Yep do it all the time when we overnight at a Harvest Hosts. Front jacks down to stabilize. Disconnect electric from truck. Open bedroom slide only.

Any one know of a slide topper that fits the Durango's with two awnings? I watched a video on the install and looked easy, then I went out and looked, there's no where for the mount on the slide. I'm looking for brand and a picture of the mount if you can get one. TIA - Edd You must modify the mounting brackets of the slide topper to fit around the awning mount. I will find the article with the instructions and post it

New to me 2006 40 SKS I am trying to figure out who made the frame for this model. There is a MORryde hitch on the front which tows great but it sits way under the nose cone which puts the camper way up into the bed of my short box Ford. I have a Demco Auto slide hitch but still dont get much of a turn before I kiss the cab. I am trying to figure out what options I have as far as pin boxes go to give me a few more inches. Over ll I like the Escalade seems really sturdy. Every thing works except the lights in the garage area and the rear flood lights. Im working on them now. All the fuses are good..... Any info on this unit would be welcomed as there is not much online and KZ doesn't seem to offer much info when asked It is my understanding that back in that time period the Escalade frames where made by New Horizons. This was when New Horizons was a fabrication plant and just starting to get into the RV 5th wheel market. KZ kept the company solvent by having them make frames for their upscale models.

Ha! yah the cash crunch hurts a little, that's not cheap furniture! You get what you pay for with La-Z-Boy. Good upgrade! It was less expensive than any of the RV suppliers like Thomas Payne, RecPro or Mastercraft and is of the same quality as custom made like Lambright in Shipshewana without the attitude. (see my previous comment to nvguy). The rocker recliners were $600.ea. The theater seat was $1200. Yeah it wasn't cheap but we will.have it for along time and it will stay comfortable to sit in.

Looks good. Bet you're really enjoying it. You are much more patient then us. We swapped out our furniture within 2 years. You're living right, We were looking at La-z-boy furniture for the S&B and were told to expect a 9 to 12 month wait. Soleman: I think one of key items for furniture replacement is to get furniture that has removable backs, at least, that's the only thing that allowed us to move things in and out. That is what we were told also. We were lucky. We dealt with a LA-Z-BOY dealer in Florida that had a huge inventory and seemed to cater to RVers. Their customer reviews online were all good. They had 2 of the three pieces in stock and the third piece they had ordered for stock and arrived in two weeks. This store was an independent signature LA-Z-BOY dealer, they had more inventory than the company owned stores. We shopped several different manufacturers and they all had a long wait for special order furniture. We were pretty much sold on LA-Z-BOY because it is made in the USA, with no Chinese components and our past experience with it. We also looked at Lambright in Shipshewana when we were there last October and while they make a good product, their sales staff was rude and condescending... They really turned us off!! We wanted fabric instead of vinyl or leather and it had to be pet friendly and stain resistant with easy clean up. What we got was distressed microfiber. They told us it was water cleanup for spills, and this material is THICK and was told it was the best choice for dog/cat nails. The best part it was less expensive than anything from the RV suppliers like Thomas Payne (lippert), RecPro or Mastercraft and is a much higher quality product. I hope we made a good choice.

Looks really nice, how tough was it to make the swap? The toughest part was paying for it...LOL. The backs come off both the old and new furniture, making it easy to get through the door.

12 gallons get us both through with electric add the gas for faster recovery. I'm with you Edd. I'll keep the old fashioned system. Never a problem with enough hot water for the both of us.

With the hitch head as level as possible, it is about 18.25 inches above the bed. This gives me 5" of bed rail clearance. With a 3500lb pin weight I experience about 2" squat, and a fairly level trailer when hitched. .
