kaboom, If you have the shower with the three glass sliding panels, I had the same issue. Those three drain slots are not cut down to the bottom of the sill track, there is about a 1/16" lip left on the track. What I did was I took a Dermal with a long narrow grinding stone and ground each of the three slots down to the bottom of the track, ones in the middle too. That left a U shaped slot about a quarter inch wide in the center of each slot then took a triangular file and filed each flat to the bottom of the sill. Painted the track to match and put a dab of silicone on the sill screw heads just to keep water from getting under them. Works now, no standing water. Here is a parts list from the manufacturer in case you ever need it. Happy Campin....

Bob, We have done this a few times. The one thing I do is unplug from the tow vehicle just to make sure I don't drain its batteries. Only put out one slide (bedroom) and no landing gear or auto level. You will get a bit of wobble but no big deal, after all you're just going to get some sack time. Works for a nights stop over. I try and pull over to the side of the lot to stay out of everyone's way. Biggest thing is remembering to plug the cord back in to the truck. Haven't had any issues. Be safe. Happy Campin....

This was discussed in a previous forum. I had the same issue and found it was attributed to signal loss, not the cable. If your unit is wired the same as all the rest, the living room tv is the last in the run. A five way splitter will loose 10 decibels just by going through it, a 4 way 7 1/2, a 2 way 3 1/2. To get to my living room tv it was passing through a five way and two two ways, so with that I had an established system loss of 17. Campground cable systems are iffy at best. Your antenna works fine because it has an amplifier to kick up the incoming signal it receives, if it was the cable you would most likely have an issue with it as well. I posted a wiring diagram in the other forum. Once I reconfigured my system I have cut down my issues. Still some park cable systems have bad pictures no matter what. Good luck with it. Yep, looks familiar. Had that happen on a previous 5TH wheel. Glad to hear Dexter stepped up, they are good about that. Every 5TH wheel I've owned the minute I get it home from the dealer off comes the hubs, to date every one has had some sort of issue. By doing that I know exactly what's going on in there. In reading Dexter's maintenance/service procedures they state to physically disassemble, inspect and repack the bearings every year or 12,000 miles. EZ lube hubs or not. I agree, using that zerk on the axles is bad news. You can put way too much grease in there and if you aren't careful, pop the rear seal then you've got a real mess. Happy Campin....

Thanks guys for the feedback, always try to do it right the first time. We all know how that goes sometimes. So far the open ended furnace duct behind the wall and the register in the storage area has kept things from freezing but then we don't make a habit of going to colder areas. Some freezing temps at night but warmer during the day. Happy Campin....

Check this site www.tredittire.com they are a wheel manufacturer for most towable RV rims. On my aluminum rims the max weight rating and max pressure are molded into the back side of one of the spokes. 110 PSI is OK on these. This is what mine are. Happy Campin....

One more thing regarding the duct work. I removed all my ceiling discharge vents and cut about 1/2 - 3/4" off the ends that stuck up into the duct, had just about 1/2" of clearance to start with, now have about an inch or so. Much better discharge air flow. Another freak thing was one morning I woke up, looked up and saw sunlight in the forward most A/C vent over the bed. What the heck!!!! Went on the hunt and found it was sunlight coming through the sky light above the shower reflecting into the bathroom A/C vent and then reflecting all the way on the inside of the duct to the end. Scared the heck out of me at first, thought somehow over night got a hole in the roof. (Phantom space junk) HA. Amazing. Happy Campin....

Sorry, no electrical. Those are pretty much non existent on any towable RV, I've never came across one. I acquired it from a manufacturers brochure a few years back and just kept it. Now the question is where? While you're in there check everything as Chuck stated. I had one 4" round heater duct come loose from the rectangular floor duct transition. Also the rectangular duct end itself started to come apart and hang down. A few screws, aluminum A/C tape and all good now, things tend to shake themselves apart after time. I get back behind there about once a year and look just to try and avoid any issues while on the road. Extra insurance I guess. I like the fact that everything is easily accessible with that wall removed. Good thinking on KZs part. Happy Campin....

Yes, some call it a racetrack duct system. The A/C duct work is one big oval for that exact reason. I have a diagram of how it's laid out someplace. If I locate it I'll post it. Happy Campin....

Yep that's what it is. Puts heat behind that wall, I tied it up off the floor and pointed it toward the back of the docking station after installing the EMS. In the storage compartment in front of the wall I have a regular heater vent.

Here are a couple more pictures of what you will find behind your docking station panel and behind the wall. If you have the same one and configuration. Remove about six screws and that large wall panel comes out then three or four screws for the short wall panel behind the docking station. What the docking station is installed in is a large black plastic box as you can see. High on the right side of the first picture you can see the readout wire hanging down, there is nothing up there. Always best to look first. Out of that mass of water line fittings I have had one leak, wasn't tight. Give them a good checking over while you're in there. I didn't and had to take it apart again a few months later. Noticed water coming out from under the wall on the floor, good now. Happy Campin....

Unfortunately it isn't a regular phone cable, it looks like it but it's not. In their literature it explains it, you can get/order just a cable from them if you need one. They bring it to your attention "not" to use a phone cable in the paper work. I drilled a hole above the docking station and mounted my readout there. Didn't want it inside the living area, wanted to keep it in the docking valve area with the wiring behind the wall so it wouldn't get caught on anything. Then made a list of the fault codes and placed it above the readout, also my to do check list on the right. Happy Campin....

I use the Progressive 50AMP system with the remote readout. This is the second 5TH wheel it has been in. Progressives customer service is great. Have never had an issue with questions or service. I've installed it myself, love it, wouldn't be without one. Like you said, campground electrical systems are very iffy sometimes. Saved us a few times. It works as stated. I've never heard of anyone being denied coverage due to failure. It can't be any easier to install, very simple. You sure the individuals dealer didn't want a piece of the action? Happy Campin....

Rigs, As stated earlier: bad idea to use the zerk fitting to grease your axles. Way too much grease gets in there and if you are not careful you can blow out the rear seal. That EZ lube system is great for boat trailers that are submerged in water but I have never relied on it for trailers and 5TH wheels. Dexter, in their care & maintenance manual recommend disassembly, clean and inspect once every twelve months. With these EZ Lube axles it is virtually impossible to save/reuse a seal. it will distort in one way or another upon removal. I get new ones from NAPA for less than $4 ea. The non EZ Lube axles had a seal flange of 1/4", these new ones are 1/2" so a bit more UMPH is required to get them out. Any parts/degreaser cleaner should work for you. The axle spindle, I first wipe with a rag to remove any excess grease then spray the spindle, hub and shoes with brake cleaner. Put a catch pan under it, makes a mess otherwise. Then inspect the shoes, magnets and springs then after that all dries I put a very fine film of grease on the spindle from where the rear seal sets all the way to the front. I have used the red high temperature disk brake grease, it has a drip point of over 500*, it stays where you put it. Contact Dexter via their web site and they will send you all the maintenance info and catalogues you will need. I have been breaking my wheel axle hubs down every year for close to forty + years and have had to replace one bearing in that length of time because of a couple of pits in one roller I didn't like. Replaced more springs and shoes than anything. One thing I have done on every RV we've owned is the minute I get it home, off come the wheels and hubs. To date, every one has had some type of issue, our latest 2016 Durango 2500 315RKD came with two blown rear seals and the brakes way out of adjustment. The previous 5TH wheel, front axle right side had the shoes installed backwards and was in need of a brake adjustment. Take your time, it isn't hard just dirty. Happy Campin....

We use the Rand McNally RVND-7725 bought it years ago and it has done well, very happy with it. Why did we choose this one, lifetime updates and two separate programs. One for the tow vehicle alone and another for the tow vehicle and 5TH wheel. You program in all your parameters: total length, width, weight, height, amount of propane and such and it sets your route accordingly. As you stated, the one in the tow vehicle doesn't have those options. Happy Campin....

Have you got it straightened out? Most RVs today come with two independent systems, one for cable/antenna and the other for satellite. "If" they are installed correctly there shouldn't be any issues, providing your antenna and booster are good, we know how that goes sometimes. The booster/amplifier should only be turned on (light lite) while using the RV roof antenna, hooked to campground cable it should be off. It has nothing to do with the satellite system. I have seen cases where coax cable fittings caused issues. The interior wire mesh/foil wrap was touching the center conductor in the fitting shorting out the connection. Also the center conductor needs to extend beyond the end of the fitting at least 1/8th inch to insure it makes contact when it's screwed in. I have seen many cut flush or even below the end of the fitting. Happy Campin....
