On My Venom the Furoin Camera is wired into the Clearance / tail light circuit. The camera only works with the tow vehicle plugged in and the headlights on. When new the camera had to be linked to the monitor.
I my case the camera and monitor work ok when parked or moving very slowly. At highway speeds its useless as the signal fades in and out. I installed a portable antenna and mounted it on the ladder for a better line of site signal. However the signal is still very spotty.

I'm one of those that like them. Yes there is some inconvenience at times, but overall I like them. With a bum knee getting in and out of the RV is so much better. I still have the original folding stair into the garage. Every time I use the back stairs it's painfull.

If I take the bikes, chocks and tie downs out of my numbers then I come in close to the #1000 per person or maybe just under that.
I'm just wondering if KZ rated the GVWR under 15k to avoid the customer needing a special commercial class of license?
Here in Calif. If It's 15K or more you need a special license. That adds a lot of extra time and effort to obtain and maintain.
I think that what the sticker reads is the limit. However It would be interesting to look at the frame demension's, axle weight rating, wheel and tire rating.

Since the DW and I both have Harley's and I have weighed at a scale loaded for a 4 day trip. I can say your number of #1,000 per person is really low if the bikes are included.
We don't carry more then maybe 5 gallons of fresh water. Just enough to use the toilet and wash hands. The grey and black tanks are normally empty. I also only keep about 5 gallons in the generator tank and another 5 gallons in the fuel station tank.
With food, clothes, beer/wine, propane, batteries, folding chairs, beer/wine, BBQ, beer/wine and all the other little things the DW wants to bring the weight adds up fast.
Our Venom 3311TQ is similar in length but has a ccw of #3,300 and a gvwr of #16,000 and we are right at the gvwr loaded for a long weekend of riding.
Remember the RV will be heavier than the factory UVW as listed in the brochure.
Good luck.

Try looking up your RV value on NADA www.nadaguides.com/RVs. Most insurance company's use this as a guide, at least in the motorcycle industry anyways. I tried looking yours up but was not sure of the year, options and your zip code. I did look at a 2018 Durango 1500 277RTL in my zip code, base price without any options showed list value $52,241. Low Retail $32,150 and Average retail $38,750. Some insurance company's also look at the Kelly Blue Book Values and then average the two. This is not the dealer trade in values. Those will be significantly less. Hope this helps.

You'll have to pull the shade out to do the work. You'll need a real long extension for the electric drill & a 90* adapter. Send me a PM with an email address and I'll send a couple pictures of the tools & supports. You will need a flat screw driver to release the factory clips if they are like the MDC shades.. Thanks edd505. I purchased a 90* adapter for my drill and it worked fine. I bought "L" brackets and screws and added the brackets to the end of the valances. They seem pretty sturdy now. Still waiting for all of the shade parts to arrive. They were sent, but all have not arrived yet.

Just giving An update. LCI came through and sent a new "Roto-Flex" pin box. With the DW helping I installed it yesterday.
Irvine Shades also took care of us and sent replacement parts for the Slow-Rise shades.
So far I'm pleased with the response from the RV companies that I've dealt with over the years. KZ, Dexter, LCI and Irvine Shades. They have all stood behind their products even though the warranty period is over.

Funny you post this, I just left the MDC factory where I had the shades made for ours. The installer said the L bracket does not have enough screws & added one in each empty hole, top and side. He added screws up into the bottom of the cabinets where the valance attached. He also added another bracket near the bottom edge of the valance. We took the side portions off ours and only have the top box that holds the shade. I'll let you know how this works out in a week or so. I'm currently visiting family and will be 700+ miles in the following couple days. Thanks for the response. I will be interested in how it works. I ordered replacement shade brackets and obtained some 1/8" aluminum angle to make some brackets for the valance's. I'm thinking about using some heavy duty Velcro on top of the brackets and then one screw. I just can't see how to get more than one screw through the brackets and into the valance with the shades installed.

I'm having problems with the factory curtain valance and the Slow Rise Shades.
The valances are made using a press board material not particle board, but material that wood screws don't hold very well in.
The other issue is the lack of brackets and the two factory "L" brackets only have one screw up into the valance and one into the wall. The bracket screws heads are hard to get to without removing the valance from the wall.
The "Slow Rise" shade mounting brackets are also very hard to get to without removing the valance from the wall.
This system is just a weak design and not strong enough for the jarring and bouncing these Rv's take going down the road.
Has anyone came up with a better way of mounting the valance and shades or some modification.

Terrible job, in the photo I can see a exposed screw head so the possibility of a leak is present.

Johnr. I still have the original steps into the garage area. They extend 25" from the side of RV. The MorRyde steps extend 51" so just over twice the distance.

I installed the MorRyde Step-Above and the storage box in place of the OEM steps.
They do require extra room to extend. So picking a parking spot with a little extra room is needed. They also require having the trailer fairly level before deploying them. If your going to unhook and level, then you need to do that before putting the steps down otherwise damage to the steps and or RV could occur. I sweep them off before folding them up, Which helps with the dirt and debris issue. I have only had one site that required a single "lego" pad to get the steps level, (Ran out of leg adjustment).
The DW and I both have physical disabilities and these steps have been wonderful. We also have the hand rail option. Getting in and out of the RV is now alot less painful. Oh and our English bulldog likes them better than the old steps. 😁
They do require more room and thought before opening. They definitely aren't for everyone.
