I have a 2012 Stone Ridge 38fl that we are very happy with. On the subject of a rear kitchen unit, my previous unit was a 35 foot cardinal with a rear kitchen. We put probably 25000 miles on it and really didn't notice any unusual problems with dishes bouncing around or anything of that nature. We looked at that unit(36rk) very hard and i would not hesitate to buy it if i liked those features. I would certainly order it with the 5th airbourne hitch and the 7000# axles with the Goodyear g614 tires though. The only thing to watch out for on that unit, in my opinion, is that it would be quite easy with all that extra storage to overload it. I would think that you would be wise to pull it with a 1 ton truck, rather than a 3/4 ton.

We purchased our 2012 Stoneridge 36 RK at the Calgary RV show in January 2012. We have gone on 5 trips so far for a total of 30 days of camping.
This is the perfect RV for us. The Kitchen has more counter space than our house. My wife is a chef and she loves it. We also have the Bistro Package and I love it. In a few years we are planning to be full timer.
Phoenix50 don't worry about the trailer bouncing around because it is very stable. Our previous 5th wheel was a 2007 Jag by KZ and it did bounce around quite a bit, NOT happening with our Stoneridge 36RK. We have the Goodyear tires with the beefed up axles, along with the 5th airbourne it is very smooth. Nothing is ever out of place.
The bistro is easy to clean up with a stainless steel cleaner. Everything is so convenient. Received many nice comments from fellow RVer regarding the Bistro.
Also we rarely need to turn on the furnace which is very quiet. We just turn on the fireplace and it heats up the place nicely. The bed is very comfortable and no squeaking!
We had several little problems that were taking cared of promptly by our dealership. I guess the more bells and whistles the more things can go wrong. But it is all good now.
The only problem that can't be fixed is an engineering issue with the water valve on the Bistro sink. If the valve is left on the hot water position when closing the sink lid, it will be turned on (by the sink nut) and can cause a flood. it happened to us. Now we are careful with it. Also the electric grill needs at least 30 minutes to reach max. heat about 530 f. with the lid closed. I use my propane BBQ much faster and hotter (I'm not very patient when I'm hungry!)
Overall we love our Stoneridge 36RK.

have 36k with bristol package, pulled ok, lot of weight, to much storage for this rv, easy to overload, tires were g rated but they did not change the tag on the front of the rv, so when I check the pressure it at 80psi ,pressure for e rated tires, g rated tires should be 110psi. kz is an old company, but they to regroup , the stoneridge is not a high end rv

purchased my 2012 stoneridge 36rk at hartville rv in hartville ohio, they have all they could to make this rv right, but no help from kz. I sent pictures and letters to kz about poor workman ship, no response. Bob at hartville rv did all he could to make me happy, kz did nothing. I could write a whole page of problems with my rv, small problems, but that kind of money small problems are big ones to me

baldy...you are the luckiest rv owner in the world....no warranty item till now??? You bitch about KZ when many items are those of suppliers ie your awning. Cheapest...NOT...do some research. Your dealer lied about the unit not KZ. I for one found KZ service dept to be the best I ever dealt with. A lot has to do with the dealer as he is paid to correct problems during PDI. As for the leaks...general statement so one can not tell what you are saying. My dealer fixes things right the first time and never a return needed. I had a serious problem caused by material supplied to KZ and a mistake on the factories part....complete new roof 2 years out of warranty at no cost. Bad service ....I think not. Its all about your dealer.

Baldy - if you approach your dealer with the same attitude you've displayed in your posts on this forum, you'll probably never be satisfied. You've convinced yourself that the RV is not up to your standards so your only options are to change your opinion or change your RV.
If you have a specific problem that you need help with, please post all the information you can and I'm sure that everybody on this forum will try and help you

so far i'm happy with my dealer,i'm not happy with kz and the people i have talked with, i have talked with four people with no satisfation, when i spend this kind of money on a rv i expect it to be right, my other rv,s were less expensive but were a lot better dollar for dollar then my stoneridge. a friend of mine purchased a open range the same time i purchased mine, a lot less money and dollar for dollar much better deal. we both went to az. for the winter, he had no problems. took mine back to the dealer this spring with a list of ten items, they fixed what they could, still waiting for parts from kz

mine was built in dec. of 2011 i think i got a bunch of left over 2011 parts. had to have a new fireplace, nothing like the old one, i have had 7 rv's more problems with this one than all the others combined,i'am glad you had good luck. my dealer did all they could to make me happy,my problem was with KZ and the way they put the rv's together, then they draged there feet on getting parts to my dealer,my friend bought an open range rv the same time i bought my stoneridge, dollar for dollar much better rv, i have fixed more things myself then i had the dealer fix

We bought a 2012 Stoneridge 36 rk new this past Mar. With the out side kitchen, which I didn't know if I would use much but we absolutely love everything on this unit and with the airborne hitch and my air bags on truck a 2003 dodge ram 2500 crew cab 8 ft bed hemi engine pulls great. As far as movement on items in the rear we don't have much at all. Like I said we love this unit
