We installed Monroe shock absorbers on our Spree 262RKS. The shocks are readily available but the upper mounting brackets are NLA as well as the lower mounting brackets. Steel flat stock was welded onto the I-beams for upper mounts. The lower brackets were made by welding OBD tubing onto standard tie plates and sandwiching them between the axles and springs. The shocks make a huge improvement in handling. It's so much easier towing on roads with lots of twists and turns and undulations, even at 60 or so mph. The trailer now rides very level when towing where before the rear end used to bounce up and down a LOT. We used to get the range grate jump off, the mini-blind open/close rod jump off it's hook and the pantry door fly open spilling stuff all over the floor. Now it's fine. It's also created more comfortable driving as the trailer's tongue does not transfer anywhere near as much up/down vertical motion to the hitch ball. Very interesting. Looks like a great idea. Not sure what NLA and OBD mean however. Can you please explain?
