You always hear about the bad customer service but HERE IS SOME GOOD!! :)If you need information on the Sport trek you need to write them. There isn't a lot .. and the sight isn't real informative but whose is?? I can tell you it's hard to find out the little things... However, I can tell you they are wonderful and will get back to you ASAP. We are looking at Venture 320VIK and 100% sure this is the model for us. We have been to at least 3 or 4 RV shows since January to see this trailer and fell in love with it. The people we spoke with at the shows WERE NOT pressuring sales people, but people with wonderful information for us to mull over while looking at other models and comparing one to another. We are about 2 hours + from a local dealer who sells this model and while sitting around talking Friday night rather late I decided on a whim to write and ask some weird random questions. I emailed about 10:00 PM and around midnight while crawling into bed my email went off and I had a response from them with a thank you for writing and a promise for more information on Monday AM. I woke up on Monday and by 10:30 AM I had exactly what I had asked for. Dave Boggs went above and beyond to get me what I was looking for and I appreciate that. THIS IS amazing customer service in my book. It's what I look for when looking at a huge purchase. Do you want to help me when I have questions?? What happens before the sale is just as important to me as the process of the purchase. If I don't feel you want to help me with the minor details and information I am asking about then how are you gonna help me should I need it later??? I have emailed several other popular manufacturers and none of them have returned an email as of yet. That's okay I was just humoring myself anyway on those models. I know where I am going , and what my new trailer will be .... As we move forward with this trailer purchase in the future I am sure Venture will continue to prove amazing to deal with. Looking forward to this.

I agree, we purchased the 320VIK in March and LOVE IT! We have had issues with our Distributor and minor issues with the RV but KZ and Venture Customer Support and Warranty Departments are GREAT. Joe Miller is who we have been dealing with on Warranty and he is GREAT and responsive on a timely manner. If you have kids that like to use electrical devices I would suggest getting extra electrical outlets added in the bunk house, also if your family is the outdoor type this model does not have any windows on the campsite side where you can see outside when in the RV, feels kind of closed in and out of touch with your campsite. We cut Plexiglas for the screen door so we can leave the main door open to solve the issue, feels more open and in touch with your campsite. Only other comment about the RV is no door stop on the bathroom door, with kids would be very easy to damage wall with door knob so I installed a simple bumper on the wall.

I think there are issues with every brand out there at some point..how those are handled by the dealer is what is important. it's like a car... there is always something. Thanks for the tips and food for thought. I have been concerned about the slide and the awning ... I've never seen one at a show with the awning out as well as the kitchen slide. How does this work? Is there room under then awning to sit when the slide is out? I have looked all over the internet for this, but none exist I guess. Do you have any pics to post? Thank you for your reply. We are looking forward to this purchase in the near future.

I have a REALLY good dealer who has never left me down so I have never had to deal directly with the factory. The only time I contacted KZ was to tell them how great our dealer was! When we bought our first RV from Family Camping the salesman actually gave us his home phone number in case we had any problems or questions on our first trip. They spent as much time as I needed to go over everything so I pretty much knew what I was doing on our very first trip---fellow campers were more then happy to help me out with the little things that only experience can teach you.

Spent some time the last day or so again looking at different Sporttrek videos and floor plans. Since reading the post above regarding the 320VIK and lack of camp side windows. I do appreciate you sharing that minor flaw because it's something I never noticed at any of the RV shows. I would definitely have an issue with that as I am a natural light and windows kind of person. I watched several videos on the new 327VIK and it's not too different but does have a the camp side slides with windows. I think now I prefer the one long slide bv the kitchen slide on that side.
We found one line at the closest dealer a few hours+ away and hope to go see it soon. I am curious to know what kind of deal we could get as I want both upgrade packages (got the MSRP sheet with 2016 pricing on it),and there are several more items on the sheet not included in the packages that I want. GO BIG or GO HOME they say. I figure get what I want now and not worry about trading up for a while.

If you go to a dealer and know what you want and they know that you are a serious buyer, you can get them to drop the price and sometimes they can be talked into throwing in some options at a really good price. The big thing is to be willing to walk away if the dealer doesn't give any price cuts---chances are that he will give a little to make the sale. When we purchased our first 5er it was at a show and after I agreed to buy it he talked to the factory rep that was there and they threw in the 5th airborne hitch, the second awning and the dealer gave me the hitch at cost and didn't charge for installing the hitch. I made out like a thief because they knew I was a serious buyer. That deal really paid off for our KZ dealer because when we were ready to upgrade we didn't even consider anything but another KZ.

So here's the plan... It's gonna be a cash purchase... I am not gonna finance. So I am hoping that with that I have some leverage...I don't want to steal it from them but I do want them to work for my business. The MSRP according to the sheet is 35,633 and with both packages and the other stuff I want it's like $ 4500 more... so they are gonna have to work. LOL... HOWEVER, that is some good advise and I thank you. I am willing to get the deal from whoever can give me what I want. I have waited this long ... If I can't find the deal here in VA, I'll go to where ever. They are few and far between in this area. RV America in Chesapeake, VA a few in camping world in NC. I'd prefer to not purchase from CW. Other then that.... I have not found many around this neck of the woods. Thank so much for the advise.

Just so you know, dealers often make money writing loan contracts, so cash has no leverage. It might be better to keep quiet about payment, add-ons, extended warranties and such.

Not having to finance will be a big plus for you. I think if you walk in and tell them you are going to pay cash they will be giving you some kind of deal to get your business. Good luck! If this is going to be your first time RVing--you are in for the time of your life!!!!

It will be my first NEW Trailer. I have had the pop up and the small camper... and my parents were huge travelers of all types of campers and tents... but buying has new has been my goal for this coming Spring. These forums have been an amazing blessing in my learning and I even went head to head with a salesman at Hampton RV over telling me I could pull something as large as a sporttrek with a 1/2 ton ... I had been researching towing and talked to a few people who advised me to that to pull something as heavy as 8600 + is possible but I had to take into consideration terrain, wind, speed and other things. When I repeated what I had learned he wanted nothing to do with conversing with me... but I also didn't feel like the stupid female but someone who has been learning and doing her homework in preparation of a huge purchase. I don't want to be stuck camping on flat land... and coastal when I live close to some beautiful mountains. I will look at the finance board. Thank you.

Purchased our Venture from American Family RV in Chesapeake Va., we love the camper and also the Sales team there. They have a lot of work to be done on their Service side of the business. Great facility but hard to deal with and just their attitude. Five minutes down the road is the KZ dealer and their service is great, once the Warranty is up we will most likely go to the KZ dealer for Service or unless American Family RV Service Center gets better.

Had to find some studs and needed a blueprint of location. Emailed them at night, woke up and it was in my inbox. I was pretty impressed.
