We have a 2014 KZ Spree Connect 290IKS, and it has a power awning. The awning when extended, is almost parallel to the ground. We wish to clean the top side and scrub it, as it has some tree sap on it, is there a way to extend the awning, so it is at a different angle for cleaning?

My Sportster has different settings on the support arms so the water runs off. Just make sure to reset it before closing it.

Not sure how to get the sap off but to clean it, I spray the bottom with bleach water mix. Then roll it up. Let it sit 10 minutes or so. Then unroll and hose it off top and bottom. Looks like new again.

I like that idea Andy! I might have to put that to use soon.
I normally end up on a 10 foot ladder with one of those extender brushes. My awning doesn't drop either.

Looks like new again. That is a great suggestion! My wife is always complaining about the dirty awning and I really hate ladders so that solves two problems--no ladder and happy wife.

Do you have a Carefree with the holes in the arms for different angles? I lower mine to the lowest setting and then extend it half way to clean the top half, followed by full extension for the remainder.
