I hope everyone is having a great summer. I am the proud owner of a 2006 Escalade 37RKB. What a awesome 5Th wheel. The fit and finish is amazing. I do have one request from any 2006 escalade owner. I would like to copy or pay to have your operational manuals for all the equipment and the 5Th wheel itself copied. The original owner who i bought mine from mailed me the manuals and keys and the good old USPS has lost them somewhere out in mail land. I contacted KZ and they were very helpful (great attitude) and sent me a set of keys and a generic type owners manual( at no cost) that covered several models. The keys fit the storage but not the door so i will just have it re-keyed. I hope we get several escalade owners who can share pro's and con's of these amazing 5Er's. Thanks in advance. If you take the inside plate off of your door lock there should be a sticker with the key code and an 800 # to call for replacement keys.

I have a 2007 KZ Escalade 38! We had a friend who had one, we were totally impressed with their RV, we had to have one of our own, after a long search we found a bank repo and now are the proud owners, absolutely love it! Light Oak, three slides, fireplace, loaded beyond belief! No manuals for anything? I would pay for manuals? May have to start printing them off the Internet?
My biggest issue, We are in the process of upgrading the dome to the new to DirecTv SK-3005 HD? When I started confirming everything, I noticed the receiver is in an overhead cabinet on the slide? How on earth did they route the cables to that location ? I can use the current cables to hook up to the dish but the power cable is all new ?
Has anyone installed one of these SK-3005? How or where did you mount the new control box ?

HI, we also purchased a used Escalade last year. We have a 40' KZ Escalade REB Too many extras to list.
We love this coach. We are full-timers near Seattle. We have been full-time for almost 4 years now.
We did not get any manuals and I am wanting to figure out things like the plumbing schematic. I too have received great help from KZ but only very generic manuals.
I would love to find the originals or copies of. Certainly happy to reimburse for the right stuff.
I am trying to figure out if there is an accumulator tank somewhere that I can't see. We installed an RV500 tankless heater and have had some issues with water temperature. We have done a lot of troubleshooting and repair with the Precision techs who make them. We are pretty happy with the unit.
Anyway, the KZ Rocks! Just an amazing unit. We get pretty cold up here and this rig is more than adequate as a four-season rig.
Thanks for posting. Hope to see you online.

We have a 2008 Escalade 38REB and have all the manuals. Not sure if they are all the same, but if there is one in particular that you are looking for I could make a copy and send it out? Let me know. Troy

I have a question on the 2007 Escalade 37RKB that I own. This may sound silly but how do you lower or access the spare tire that's under the coach? I had my brother look for me and he couldn't find a way to get it on the ground.

We have a 2008 REB and found the spare tire lowers by way of a shaft driven cable that penetrates the chassis on the drivers side, behind the rear wheel. It was difficult to locate as there is a support located in near the shaft. The shaft has a 3/4" hex nut on the end. I learned that a penetration in the slide out is not always made during the manufacturing. I would have thought it would have been safer to access this shaft on the curb side, however I found it on the drivers side. Hope this helps.

We absolutely love our RV although when we opened it up this year, after the fridge and electric heat ran for some, all the lights and heat started pulsating, then we lost power to Heater/AC, Fridge, hot water tank, several ceiling lights including bathroom light and fan but all circuit breakers are good and have power going in and out, has anyone ever ran into this or know how I can get an electrical wiring diagram so I know where to start my search?

I had very much same issue. Mine was the automatic transfer switch in the belly compartment behind the sliding doors. It's where the coaches power swaps from my on board 5 kw generator and shore power. I almost had a fire as the lugs had loosened up and the power was arcing inside the closed box. I strongly recommend that everyone check their power connections for proper tightness yearly. I almost lost my coach over this. Mine was arcing so bad it burned the connections off. I have pictures I will post when I can. I also checked all my connections at the breaker panel and found several had also loosened up over time and temp variations. If all connections are good look at your power converter. I had to replace mine last year and when I did I upgraded to a higher amperage type. When it went out my batteries stopped charging and my light flickered and fridge and ac stopped working . (The AC wont work without a 12 volt signal) Hope this helps and please everyone check your electrical connections I could have lost much more than my beautiful Escalade if ya know what I mean!

Thank you for your reply, it was the converter that caused all my issues, I upgraded to a higher amp as well and all is fine now. Thank you

We purchased a beautiful 2007 KZ Escalade 39' 5th wheel camper and we didn't get a complete orientation to the camper so we're finding things out about it as we investigate. We found the spare tire, however we don't know how to remove it in case we need to change a flat. We don't see a crank or a bar that would indicate there is a crank. Can anyone help us out with this challenge? Thanks!

We just purchased a "new to us" 2007 KZ Escalade 5th wheel, 39' and we were trying to find out how to lower our spare tire and couldn't see anything like a shaft or crank anywhere. My husband got under the camper and couldn't see anything because the whole bottom of our camper is covered except the spare tire. After reading your post we're gonna check again to see if we can find the shaft driven cable on ours. Thanks!

Thanx, Barry The owners manuals were just generic anyway. The best thing you can do is write down the brand and model of each appliance and component and then search manufacturers websites for a manual. They are often available in pdf format and then you can save them on your computer. Most any information that you need is available on the web, just search. If you need help on various operations, just ask here or a major forum.
