Are any of you running the B&W 5th wheel Companion hitch with the B&W rollover goose neck hidden ball setup?
My replacement truck is a 3500 HD long box dually. The previous owner installed the B&W hidden ball system, and I really like the idea of having an unobstructed bed when I'm not towing our 2014 336 RE.
However, the only "approved" goose neck setup I've found is the Reese Goose Box, which, in a phone call to Lippert, was verified as being approved by them for use with their 5th wheel wings and frames. Even so, there isn't much in the way of hard test data to make a consumer feel comfortable with the conversion.
So, I'm pretty well set on buying a Companion hitch to make use of the already installed B&W setup, but stay with a traditional 5ver hitch vs a goose box.
Do any of you have experience with either one of these solutions, Companion and Goose Box, and could you make a recommendation? All feedback is greatly appreciated.

I've had now three companions. Really nice smooth hitch. My first was a regular hitch for my long box I then had. Then two years ago I got a slider companion for my short box truck. Worked great but was very heavy to get in and out of the truck. Again very smooth. Now with this new ford it came with factory prep so I have that model companion. Works great.

Personally, I have the Turnover Ball and Companion. We have both a GN trailer as well as the FW. I love my Companion and would only consider replacing it if I went to a =much= heavier trailer, above what the Companion can handle. Also, B&W's customer service is every bit as good as their products. Even for simple questions, give them a call and you can usually get someone to answer it right away. Lyle

I'm the original poster on this question, with an update. I went with the Companion 5th wheel hitch, retaining the rollover. It has proven to be a good choice. The plate sits higher, allowing direct viewing of the hitch up process - much easier - yet it sits just low enough to allow my cover to pass over it without interference. It's US built, very heavy duty, smooth operating and great customer service. Overall a great value and highly recommended.
