We have a sportsman park model camping trailer which we love very much but: The bedroom has a kingsize bed which is the same width as the slide out which means there is no leg room at the head of the bed to let you make the bed. You have to actually craw around on the bed in order to arrange the bed clothes. We are in our 70's and needless to say this is not convenient. Anyone else have this problem and if so what can you do? Could the bed be converted to a queen size which would allow a little leg room? Any ideas appreciated. Jake.

I do not know what your model trailer looks like but I have made extensive modifications to my 14RB Classic Sportsmen model and if it is built-in, it can be modified....just remember that if you rebuild or modify any part of your trailer, you could void your factory warranty. That being said....just rebuild the bed box (to queen size) and put a Queen size mattress on it and you are done.

You may try a pickup tool like harbor freight sells which is 3 feet long.

I had a 2010 Landmark and to make the king bed we neede to open the closet doors and put your butt in the closet. Ha!
