Hello, I want to add a bolt on/clamp bumper hitch, and put a hitch basket to carry my generator, and some other items. I can not find in my manual how much weight the bumper can hold. All together weight would probably be around 250-300lbs total. Think this is okay? Does anyone else have one? Thanks for your help

Every forum I visit does not recommend putting anything on the factory bumper. You could tie into the frame directly with welded or bolted extra support running to the rear of the TT past the bumper. I would contact the MFG. and ask them.

I would agree with daisymae, the factory bumpers are really not meant to hold any type of weight. On an old Jayco we had, we put on a bolt-on hitch and a 3 bike rack and it ended up twisting the bumper. I bet that wasn't anywhere near 250 pounds.

yep...cheap bumpers. This last trip on the way home we stopped for lunch and I do my usual walk around of the camper and notice my spare looks funny. On closer inspection it had almost ripped the bumper off. I removed the spare from the bumper and made it home. Have yet to address it to correct the issue but even after I re-weld it up and brace it I'm not sure I would be comfortable even putting the spare back on there after I saw how thin and weak the metal is. It didn't pop a weld....it actually tore the metal on the bumper. Had that spare and bumper came off going down the freeway it possibly could've killed someone.
