Bought a Inferno 3310 2010 and having problems pinning it. My problem is I cannot pin in completely with my tailgate open or it will hit the trailer. Also when it is pinned to the truck I cannot open the storage door on the front of the trailer. Are we able to get a longer pinbox for it. My truck is a 2015 f-250 crewcab 8 foot box. I have the factory puck system and a reese elite hitch. Thanks

Hi. I haven't had that problem for a number of years. Any camper I've seen in the last 15 years has been set up so an 8 foot bed can be hooked up without any trouble. Sounds like someone adjusted yours to be shorter. Most pin boxes are adjustable with a set of bolts on the side where it connects to the camper. There are also normally different pin boxes that can be switched out.
You might want to keep in mind if you extend it that it will probably change your pin weight. I'm not familiar with the physics or how to calculate it, but you don't want to overload the hitch.

I see the holes to adjust the hitch up and down but does not seem to be a way to adjust forward or back. It is like a accident waiting to happen.

With my new Ford puck system I did the b+w companion hitch and did put the brackets it the furthest back setting. Have about 6 to 8 inches when pin up. I think the moryde pin box is considered a medium box.

I also have the puck system but have the reese elite 25k but do not have adjusement forward back just up and down. On my fw it is a dexter pin box.

Do you have an RV dealer nearby that you could stop and pick their brain a little?

I called dexter and they sent me a size chart so I will check that out.

That's cool. Hopefully they aren't too terribly expensive.

I would think it would probably be around 500-700 bucks which is cheeper than a tailgate that I smash, thanks

I have always run with an extended pin box. With my 8 foot bed I can hitch up with the tailgate down and open the generator compartment door while hitched. My 5th wheel came with an extended pin box but I switched it out to the Reese Airborne extended pin box that has the inflatable air bladder and shock absorber. The pin boxes are frame specific so be certain to get the right one. A good hitch shop could be a big help. I would prefer a specialized hitch shop over an RV dealer for something like this.
