My toy hauler's hot water heater has recently sprung a leak. My issue is the only marking I see is that it is a 6 gallon hot water heater. I have 2 questions. Is it possible to put a bigger hot water heater, and if not any idea what model is in it now? I'm not a 100% sure of the RV's model number right now but I think it's the 37K model. Planning on using RV in two weeks and the wife without how water could put a damper on the trip. Thanks for any help..............

Hi. It's interesting that you say it sprung a leak. Where is the leak at?
It may be possible to put in a larger tank. It all depends on how large a space your RV has for it. You'd have to see where it's at and get the dimensions. It would most likely result in you having to re-plumb the inlet and outlet pipes because they probably wouldn't match your existing tank.
If it was me, I'd look into one of those tankless water heaters. If you can get consistent hot water for as long as you want, that would be the way to go. They may only run on propane, so that would be something to consider.
