Hi all. I just purchased a 2008 Sportsmen Sportster 26P from a dealer through pictures. Needless to say I am a bit nervous about the 10 hour drive to pick it up on Monday. Any insight in addition to a thorough PDI? Hoping the trailer is all that it appears to be and am looking forward to using it regularly as our home while racing MX. I'm sure I will be posting a lot of questions here, thanks in advance for the guidance.

Hi dtg173, welcome to the group! Good luck with your drive and hope the trailer is what you're expecting!
Check for signs of water damage (stains on walls or ceilings, sponginess of the outer shell, rust where you normally wouldn't expect it), walls around windows. I'd suggest pulling it before you sign the papers just to make sure it tracks straight and is quiet. Are the tires worn evenly? Test the plumbing (fresh water and holding tanks), heating, cooling, propane and electrical systems.
Once you get 10 hours away there won't be too much you'll be willing to do to get them to resolve anything.

Well, all went well with my 10 hour trip out. Trailer is as they said and now back here in my driveway. Hit torrential downpours for pretty much the entire 320 miles of I-80 in Pa. on the way home. Once I got into NJ the rains slowed and the winds picked up. Trailer towed well with the Equal-I-zer but it needed fine tuning. Hopefully I have it dialed in now. Weather conditions did not make for an easy trip home. Looking forward to using my new "Moto-home"
