I have a 2013 spree 261 rks. I found that by my experience it does not work to put 2 bikes on bumper. So, what I did is welded a 1/4 L-bracket on the inside frame to bumper on each side. You only need one L-bracket on each side. I moved the spare tire over to the right and modified it so it doesn't block the tail light (cut and re-welded spare tire mount). Then I mounted a receiver in the center of bumper that will accept my bikes and/or my generator. Very stable and had no problems. If you need more support which I doubt, then add 2 more L- brackets one on each side of frame. If you are not a welder spend the extra money and get it done that way you will not be sorry and its one less worry. Hope this helps! Good luck! That so-called frame on a 261RKS is made from sheet metal welded together. I would be afraid to add a second coat of paint to it.

Yep Lynnmor, your absolutely correct, they don't make things like they did back in the days when TTs had full 1/4 frames and were tanks! Guess they had to cut the weight from some- where.

That's the truth. The last Jayco I had, we put a 2 bike rack on the bumper. Got to the campground and found that the bumper was bent and twisted from the stress. Don't want to do that again!

What do you think of a bike rack that can mount on the tongue? Just a thought. I can see his the rear bumper is pretty flimsy for more then just a spare tire.

It works, I've seen that done before as long as you have the room. Another way I've seen done is to get a double receiver and mount bike rack on top so it's above trailer frame. But once again, ,you must have the room so you don't hit tailgate or hatch.
