I feel so excited to go out on our new Escape but I feel so scared to do it alone. We are supposed to go with friends from work soon but I am so ready to try this out. My little one is too. I wish there was an exact checklist of everything I need to do to actually get set-up for my E204S Spree Escape. I would love to find a list that say, fill up water tank, ensure I add chemicals to toilet at this time, make sure to turn buttons on for gas...etc just to ensure I do everything properly and don't forget anything. Would help so much then perhaps I wouldn't be so afraid to go it alone. Guess I have to wait until my friends can go. Patience for such fun activities is tough.

Good morning, Gina. I can appreciate your excitment. Your E204S is a sweet trailer. If you use a "check list" search at the popular websites (such as IRV2.com) you'll come up with a multitude of check lists covering "departure from" and "arrival at". The one major rule of thumb before departure: do not rush...walk around once more and make sure..... then go. Have you considered an overnite trip to your driveway for practice?

We have been camping fo 8 years and have never put any chemicals in our black tank. If you use plenty of water while camping and rinse out the tank after each trip there should be no oder problems at all. We also empty the water heater after each trip to help keep the water system fresh. You will still need to sanitize the water system on occasion but not nearly as often if you drain the water system and water heater.

You'll end up making your own checklist over the course of your camping career. The only way to learn is to do it. Even then you'll make mistakes, we all do.
A practice trip in the driveway sounds like a great idea. You'll get to practice and your child will think it's seventh heaven.

Thanks guys! Yes, I condered camping in the driveway and he really wants to but I'm scared I may mess up with the gas. I am terrified I will cause injury, harm or something. I'm way to scared. He is so ready and so am I but I can't. I just want a list that says, turn on this button, turn on that button, fill up this tank and that one.
Thanks for all the helpful hints!

Call your local RV dealer and ask if someone can help walk you through everything.

RV Checklist Good afternoon, Gina: I pulled this from the Doityourselfrv.com website. RV Checklist RV app
Did we lower the antenna? Are the stabilizers still down? Did we get chair back from the neighbor? Never forget these things again. The RV Checklist application is meant to be used by anyone with an RV so that whatever they come with, they leave with and make sure that they don’t forget anything that is meant to be remembered! This app is customizable and allows you to better prepare for trips and track your progress toward completing your list. Its very simple and intuitive to use. Don’t leave home without it.
Price: Free (Android), $0.99 (Apple)
Note: if you have a GPS, it may have built in check lists. The GoodSam Rand Mcnally GPS has oddles of check lists built in to it.

Wow, guys...thanks so much! I love the checklist. Well, our first trip out is this weekend...close to home. I feel so scared but know it will be over with soon and fun I'm sure. Finnaly found a torque wrench to use on the tires. Since it's new the dealer said torque it often.
I sure hope I don't mess up.
Thanks so much!!
