I have a KZ Sportsmen and am having trouble with the awning. Would appreciate some tips on opening/closing the awning. Thank you.

You don't specify what type problems you are having. We have a new KZ Spree and also had some problems. User-errors though. First thing is get the manual out and walk through step by step. First step is release the break at the right end of the awning. Then release the travel locks. Hook the strap with the wand and pull down. Slide out the brace and tighten the black knobs. Then using the travel lock handles extend the arms out and up to desired pitch. I keep one end lower for runoff if it rains. Hope this helps. Oh and don't forget when closing to move the break lever to the close position alllowing the spring to roll the awning up again.

We have a sliding lock on the right hand arm that is to open or close the awning. The travel lock on the side has to be opened first them slide this lock up, you need to give it a good push to get it all the way up & release the awning[/size] I hope this helps.

Be sure to keep hold of the open awning when you release the lock to roll it back up or it will take off and get away from you when you release the lock. Don't ask me how I know!

awning trouble. If you are trying the correct sequence when opening and closing, try spraying all your awning arms with silicon spray. Everything will work much easier.Jake.
