Hi All:
Does anyone have suggestions on designing a storage pad for a travel trailer (I guess any type of RV would apply) in the backyard to have a better surface than the current grass surface? I'd prefer not to pave the area but instead was thinking of making a gravel pad. My only concern would be that gravel might not provide enough drainage away from the tires? Thanks in advance for comments, Ken

If you're worried about gravel, you could build a couple ramps maybe a couple inches in height and pull your trailer onto those to keep it off the gravel?

John: THAT'S a good idea- in fact, maybe just buy a couple of metal ramps at Walmart or auto store. The only thing with ramps is that the grass would still grow below the trailer and be a bit of a pain to keep cut?

My choice to get the tires up off the ground is 2X10s, cut long enough for both tires to be up on them.
Just a thought.

I have my trailer tires setting on 16X16 inch square concrete stepping stones. An example is Home Depot sku 323773. This is a standard item in most hardware and big box home improvement stores. BTW, the grass under my TT died years ago.
