Just wondering if anyone has replaced the thermostat in a Durango 2857 with a digital thermostat? If so, what brand did you use to replace it?

Don't have a 2857, but have a 325RL. This is what I use, it works great.  You can find them at many locations, but here is where I bought mine: www.rvplus.com/coleman-digital-h-c-thermostat-u-8330-3362.htmlVery easy to install, I did it in about an hour really taking my time, all wires are well marked and easy to figure out. |

Joe, do you notice much of a difference? I also have a 325RL and can't complain about the thermostat that came with the unit.
What's the benefit of switching them? Does it enable you to run the fan and the heat at the same time?

The standard thermostat has a pretty wide temperature swing. The digital one is only one degree, so it maintains the temperature better whether using air conditioning or heat. The other main thing I like about the digital one is that you can actually see what temperature you have picked, not just trying to set the lever to what you want. The digital one doesn't offer any other options than what the standard thermostat as far as I can tell.

Our son installed our digital thermostat this past week. It makes regulating the temperature in the RV so much easier and more accurate.

Anyone have a Thermostat wiring diagram or have photo of wiring hookup for Durango 2857 5th wheel, I had photos before removing connections on wall thermostat, but unable to retrieve them. Thanks Attachments:wiring.tiff (2.63 MB)
