Did not pull the trigger today on the factory order... Went to see 2 of the 2014's on the ground... Was not totally impressed , and they cannot tell me exactly which wood and fabric is available... Really..I decided to hold onto my money and wait yo see what else is out there...

There are plenty more where they come from! What did you see, the stone ridge or the durango gold?

Stoneridge....it was real dark in the front living area.. Almost like it needed more windows.... The kitchen was nice , but we really need to upgrade the fridge...once we did that , the pantry is gone....no where for food... I like food.. :-) and the basement got real small... The door was only about 20" wide( did not actually measure) as it is now , I like my basement.. SO........ We decided to wait and see the new Prestige or whatever it will be called......

We don't find our front living area dark at all,but we have one of the original units that doesn't have the dark furnishing and decor. I agree that the kitchen needs more storage. That's why we prefer the plan of the durango gold fl. It seems to have improved most of the areas that we would like to see done. I had hoped that th new prestige unit would use the same plan as the durango gold with some uprgrades to furnishings and finish, but the pictures of the prototype we saw didn't do that. Instead they took out one of the slides in the bedroom and put another slide in the kitchen that enables a large pantry and frig and a center island. Some may prefer that, but we don't. My wife is an avid quilter and the stone ridge and durango gold both have room in the bedroom for her sewing machine between the end of the bed and the closet, looking out the rear window. My wife loves that feature, which we've haven't seen in any other unit. As for under unit storage, I agree that it is limited, but adequate for us. We've had our unit for 3 years and have never lacked for adequate storage. To me, the idea of a 40 foot unit that can be pulled with a 3/4 ton diesel truck is critical, and I believe a lot more exterior storage would make it easy to overload the rig. Like most things, you have to prioritize your needs and desires in a camper.
