We're about to begin our 5th season with our 2008 Spree 240BH-LX but after retrieving it from winter storage a couple of weeks ago I was surprised to find what appears to be a leaking window, street side at the front of the trailer beside the queen bed. All along the lower edge of the window I found thin dark stains running down the interior wall to the floor ... they were easily removed with a wet Mr Eraser but nonetheless it's an indication something's not right. I tightened the screws on the lower portion of the window frame inside the trailer but yesterday noticed still another stain running down the interior wall, which tells me the window is in fact leaking somehow, either water from outside or perhaps condensation that's formed on the metal frame. I'm thinking it's time to pull the window and inspect / repair the window seal so my question is - do I remove the window by first removing all the screws that secure the window frame to the inside wall, then pull the window forward out of the hole from the outside?

Did you get your window fixed? It hasn't leaked again even though it's rained quite hard a couple of times since and I'm not going to pull it apart unless it does. I'm thinking it may have just been condensation that built up over the winter behind the metal window frame inside the trailer and that's what was leaking down the wall as I don't see any signs at all outside the trailer that the exterior window seal is leaking.

Well it's now the middle of May and we've had several good downpours since I last posted on this issue and I haven't had any further problems so I'm pretty well convinced now that water wasn't getting in from the outside but that this was just condensation trapped inside the metal window frame that seals the window against the wall on the inside of the trailer. Last winter was particularly damp, mostly rain with hardly any snow in this area at all, so for now I'm thinking that was the roof cause for an excessive humidity level inside the trailer over the winter even though I did use DriZAir. Next winter I'll have to increase the amount of DriZAir I use and see if that helps better control humidity inside the trailer.

I see you pull your 240BH-LX with a 4x2 Avalanche. We're strongly considering purchasing one (Avalanche)...we have a 2007 240BH...that weighs 4100lbs unloaded. How does your Avalanche do? Do you ever wish you had a 4x4? We're even looking at the 2005 models, so please let me know! :-)
