Have a question for all. The nose piece on our Stoneridge is faded almost white on top. Wondering if any of you have noticed this problem. I polished it once a year.
Of coarse dealer says."Hmmm, haven't heard of that before".
It never has been in storage and faces West always when at home and in winter lot. So big sun issues is a thought.
I guess I think if KZ isn't willing to fix it, I should get it painted and clear coated. I'm guessing it wasn't done like that from the factory.
Wondering what you all think?
Trailer is two years old and we want to keep it at least five more.

3 year old 38fl with very little if any fading on front cap. Unit kept in a building with open ends and side. Waxed at least once per year and always washed with meguir's flagship wash and wax product. Kz should address that problem.

I have a 2013 Durango. Had the same issue. It was just under a year old. Brought it to the dealer and they said KZ covered it under warranty. I guess KZ told them how to clean it up. Looks much better and is holding up since it was done about 6 months ago. I have seen it happen to other Durango's

I brought it to the dealer Saturday. Dealer said they would send in picks to KZ. Guess I'll find out what to do soon enough. Sounds like it might get fixed. Dealer said KZ is pretty good about warranty and customer service.

From what I understand , IF the front caps are made of color injected into the gelcoat , they will fade faster... if they are painted and clear coated , they will last longer

Is there any way to tell which one you have, paint or injected?

I have a brown front cap on my Durango, but it is always stored in the barn when we're not camping.
Wondering if I could end up with the same problem eventually?

unless your unit came with either a partial or full body paint option, the front cap is a brown color infused gel coat. in other words, the fiberglass panels came from the panel factory with the color in the fiberglass, not painted on. it will eventually fade, especially if it is exposed to sunlight. If you can keep your unit stored in enclosed or at least roofed building, safe from the sun's rays the brown color will last much longer. A good friend of mine has a KZ escalade about 6 or 7 years old that is stored on a completely enclosed building, and it looks almost as good as the day he bought it. keep a good coat of wax on it and keep it clean. that's about all you can do other than keeping it inside.

Yes. I'm sure it is gel coat color. Sits outside everyday. No option to bring it under a roof. Hoping kz can help. If not I'll just have it painted I guess. Darn stickers I bet will be 300 plus. Maybe do something different with that.
