Our Stoneridge has the fridge in the slide and it came from the factory with a slide cover.

We have a 2013 261RKS, when we were at the factory for a tour they said "no" to the slide awning with the refrigerator in the slide....our refrig is in the corner of the slide like yours I am sure. We have been told by an awning company at an RV show it was no problem but we have stayed with the factory advice. I think, some dealers have installed them as I have seen them on the slides but as of 2013 the factory said "no". We have decided to stay with the factory's recommendations. You might want to double check with the factory....perhaps some awning company now has a way to install it safely. Happy camping....ours is sitting with about an inch of first snow on it as we speak.

We've been thinking about a slide cover for our 2014 262RKS which has the fridge in the slide. Why would it be a problem? The vents for the fridge on the wall of the slide and there seems to be adequate mounting space and clearance. Did the factory give any explanation? .

The concern was the amount of solid surface to adequately mount the bracket on the flange. An RV awning installer at the Good Sam's Rally said it would be fine. We have just decided to let it be as it is. We have seen it done on the same model we both have they look fine and owners have not had trouble as yet.

We have slide toppers on all slides. Not sure why fridge slide would make any difference. That is how ours is set up too. Fridge that is in a slide has top vent on the side. Has nothing to do with a topper. If anything the topper will keep it cooler in the hot sun. Jmho.
