I just purchased a 2011 Durango 1500 245 RL and have been trying to figure out what the light switch under the control board when you walk into the coach is for. There are two switches under the cabinet, the one on the left controls the three main coach lights but for the life of me I cannot figure out what the switch on the right does. I have called KZ and he told me that it controlled the slide out so kids could not push the button and have it come back in, that was not it as i tried it. I have looked online and no luck. Can anyone tell me what that switch is for?

Do you have awning lights? The switch on my 2013 was not labeled and even the dealership had no clue what it was when I asked. With the awning rolled up, you can't see that it does anything.

I have a 2013 245SB and there is a white switch (hard to read) but it is for the awining lights. It's a strange place to put it.

Thanks for the help, I do not have lights on the awning however I did trace the line from the switch up to the patio light above the door, it seems to stop there and not continue. I first thought that the red rocker switch in the cabinet next to the tank monitoring system was a main power switch then the switch under the cabinet controlled that light, nope, does not do that either. I will have to continue the illusive search for what ever is controlled by the mystery switch next spring as I am taking the rv to storage today. I will still follow up and keep searching through the winter. (keeps my mind off the snow and freezing temps)

My patio light has two switches (now that you mention it). One on the wall turns on a yellow light and one on the control panel that turns on a white light out there. Same fixture.
Maybe you have a bulb that's burnt out?

I will have to check that out next spring, I just put it away for the winter but thank you so much for the idea. You all have been a great help and I appreciate it greatly.

Correct, there are 2 lights above the door. One yellow, on the rocker switch mentioned and a flood light that is controlled by a heavier rocker switch up by the control panel. I've tried to remove the lens to see what kind of bulb is used, but couldn't figure how to get the lens off. Didn't want to pry too hard and break the lens..
Anybody know how the lens should be removed?

I just took the lens off and sure enough, two bulbs, one regular white and one c912 amber bulb. The lens is removed by using a utility knife and just cutting the sealant around the lens, remove the 4 Phillips screws, then using a small pry-bar gently stick it just behind the lens and not the metal frame under it, pry it gently and remove. The c912 can be found on Amazon:
CEC Industries #912NA (Amber) Bulbs, 12.8 V, 12.8 W, W2.1x9.5d Base, T-5 shape (Box of 10)
