Hello, We just purchased a new 2014 Durango 325RL and when trying to figure out all the new items to operate seem to be having an issue with the Maxxair fan functions. I cannot get the fan to go from "Air Out" to "Air In" when pressing the button on the remote. When I do the "Air Out" icon flashes on the screen but does not switch to "Air In" mode. Anyone have any suggestions, am I missing a programming item somewhere?
Thanks, Perry, Winslow, Maine

When using the remote you must stand almost directly under the fan, push the function you wish to apply and listen for the "beep". If you do not hear the "beep" you selection will not be applied. It is a poor design, either the transmitter or the receiver (or both) does not have a wide enough angle.

jetzen I noticed this the day we did the PDI, the tech had to stand half way down the sink/island to get ours to turn on ... He also the same thing that you needed to hear the beep, you must have known the Tech LOL because he stated the same thing, poor design Chuck

prbffd28,
Welcome to the KZ family, lots of nice helpful folks here. When we took delivery of our 315RKD the issue I had with the Maxxair unit was you couldn't control the speed. It was 100% no matter what you did. Being that our dealer is over three hours away I called Maxxair and explained the problem. Gave them the model and serial number and the date we purchased the 5TH wheel and they sent me a new circuit board (no charge), all good since. Was easier doing that than trying to go back to the dealer. Let us know how it works out, just noticed this is an old post, has the issue been resolved? Happy Campin....

I have three of these vents and love them! The two that came with the rig didn't have the "air in" option on the remote. I installed the third one by replacing the bathroom cheap vent. The new one came with the remote WITH the air in/out button. I thought to myself and tried the air in/out function on the other two existing fans and boom! They worked using the same remote! You can use one single remote for all your fans, thus why they're short wifi distances. Looking at the website you'll see two different models. One does the air in/out and the other is only defaulted to air out all the time.
I've asked myself this question. Why would I bother to change air out to air in? I mean if the RV is ideally a somewhat sealed box what does it matter? Open a window and use Air out and you get air flow. Open a window and use air in and you get airflow but opposite direction. The ceiling fan function doesn't impress me either however, the rain sensor works! I've verified it in the rain and it's great peace of mind, plus the double arms are sturdy so I tow her down the road with all three vents open.

Open the flush valve for a few seconds and you might appreciate the air in selection. Of course turning it off is another option.
