We just purchased 2 new tanks after ours were damaged. We got the new tanks today but there are no holes to insert our waste water inlet. Is this normal or do we have to cut them ourselves?

You'll need to take measurements from your old tanks and then cut the new ones to match. Make sure that the cut-outs come out with the hole saw or be sure to dig them out of the tank now. Use plenty of abs cement when you glue the new fittings in and let the tanks sit over night before installing in the trailer.

They make them as generic blanks that fit multiple trailers, but they never seem to do a good job eplaining that to the people purchasing them as after-market replacements. Hopefully you did not yank and toss the old ones. Like indyhntr said: use your old one as a template to make the new one. Otherwise, you will need to do a mock install to mark the location, and that is much harder to get correct.
I have seen videos online explaining both processes. Look around, it is always nice to have seen it done before trying to do it on your own.
