Many campers dry camp, no electricity, etc. I was amazed that my 2013 196S only has one cigarette lighter outlet for 12 volt appliances, and that is the TV outlet in the ceiling by the door. From my previous years I have several 12 volt devices that I use, such as lamp for reading, fan and similar low amperage devices for personal comforts. I will be adding a couple in the living area soon.

One (1) 12 volt outlet is the norm no matter the brand and it is almost if not always part of the antenna booster

I know, but again my Trail Manor had 4 and I guess I got spoiled. I have added a couple at strategic places so I am good now. I have a 12 volt fan, an inverter to run my CPap machine at night so I am good to go, now. I do a lot of camping off the grid so battery outlets are a big help for charging my kindle, computer, cell phone etc.
Of course I have to point out, Norm for something does not mean its the best, it means everyone agrees to not put in more, not for the convenience of the consumer but to save a few dollars.

12 volt plugs should be in there and I agree with you there should be a few. What about USB? I can't believe my 2015 Spree 300 RLS does not have a 12 volt our USB outlet. I did complain to KZ about this and my dealer told me that the TV has a USB outlet, great but what if I am not connected to AC? I also think the TV should be 12 volts or at least come with an inverter. I have not tried to plug my phone into the stereo USB to charge so I can answer to that one. Normally I plan to get a full hookup so it's not really a problem I also will be replacing a couple of AC receptacles with the ones that have USB ports built in. I will be putting a 12 volt plug in near my wife's side of the bed so we can run her CPAP off of 12 volts. I think that is safer than relying on the campground AC power.

Our 2015 MXT20 has "0" 12 volt outlets! It also has NO 110 outlet on the outside, just one in the storage compartment. I guess their cutting corners anyway they can!

I was shocked to find the my brand new 2106 Spree 262RKS had ZERO 12V DC outlets. I discussed this with my dealer and was told they could add 2 of them for about $400.00. But this should have already been there from the factory. What ever happened to being able to dry camp?

I would say the reasoning is that very few people truly dry camp anymore. I have a 12v outlet in mine and although I spend a lot of time in the fall without electric hook up I've never once used it. I run a little 2k watt champion. I think most these days either stay where there's electric or have a gen with them.

It's nice to have one in the water compartment if you're using an external 12v pump and pulling water from something into your camper. Mine doesn't have one, so I have to carry a dang battery pack around with me.

They're also nice if you dry camp and sleep with a C-pap. ! EXACTLY why I will be adding one or two to my new Spree 262RKS. My Dealer service department tells me it won't be much of a job to do it. There is an unused spare 12V circuit in my power center to tap on to. I guess the question is that for less than $50 they could have done this at the factory. Now it will cost me between $250 and $400.

Although they quoted me $400 and 2 weeks to get the 3 12vDC outlets I wanted installed, I got a call from them in olny 2 days that it was ready for me and the total bill would only be $160. Always a good thing to get a dealer that actually cares about his customers.

The industry standard is only 1...at the antenna switch. From my days as a Coachmen rep I can tell you they were not installed because so few actually ever use them. RVs are just like cars....things are included based on OVERALL customer demand and to keep prices down.

We added a "Triple Play Panel" powered from the output of our solar charge controller. qsradio.com/shop-now.html#!/Triple-Play™-Meter-Panel/p/50782362/category=13748049 We are about to add another panel with two more USB chargers and 2 sets of Anderson Powerpoles. Good luck!
