I inherited my parents 2004 KZ Sportsman 28 foot 5th wheel. KZ refers to it as 2857PX2. My truck is not large enough and / or equipped with the proper tow package. So my 5th wheel is in storage at a lake in Texas. When I want to use it call them and they place on a camping spot. The camping spot has full hookup of water, electric and sewer. My problem - The Black and the Grey water tanks will not empty. Can anyone provide me a diagram of how the tanks are on this 5th Wheel? I only see one 3 inch drain valve. It is on the right side of the dump cap. On the left side of the dump cap is a white tube. A hose can go into the threads of this. I hooked up a hose and turned the water on and water just squirted out the other side of the RV. Not sure if the white tube is broken. I have been watching a lot of Youtube videos trying to see what I should be doing. Does this 5th wheel have 2 drain valves? One for Grey and one for Black? What is the white tube under there for? What is the purpose of the hose connection "City water only"? How about a detailed diagram of all the water system. I purchased a RV HydroFlush Sewer Clean Out Anti-Siphon Valve 45 Degree Hose Adapter Plug Tank. It Hydorflush is clear so I could see what was coming out and it was not much. I then put the hose on this but the main dump pipe had a turn so I do not think the water from the hose made it to the blockage. I'm terrified I will overflow my Grey and or Black tank. I can add pictures if this site allows pictures. Any help would be great.
Thank you, John

A photo will help.
Was this camper set on a permanent site? Many campers that lease yearly sites remove the RV toilet and replace it with a home version. Direct flush....no tank to empty. The white pipe kinda sounds like this may be the case. RV toilets "drop" straight to a holding tank. is there a holding tank? ....does the toilet have the "S" looking base (indicating a trap)? Wouldn't be unusual to have a hose connection for "flushing" purposed because the rv does not have the slope/vents that a home does, sometime things get stuck.
The "city water only" is a direct feed city water connection to your water system. You use this instead of pullingwater from a holding tank. Gives you pressurized water like at home.
Can not help you with the diagram, but I found a KZ manual for our 170 on-line.
Photo may help get a more definitive response.

My parents did not use it at a permanent site. So no modifications were made to the toilet. How do I get a photo posted?

You need to have a storage site for your pictures, I use photo bucket. Once on the site with your uploaded picture, hover over the upper right of your picture and a "gear" will show up with options. Pick links. Then pick the one that starts with "IMG". That will copy a link to your picture. Then back on the forum, just go to a blank spot and click paste and you should be good to go.

I figured it out. I got under the 5th Wheel and spent some time. Both the Black and the Grey tank had a valve near the tank. Both had a cable. I tracked the cable into a storage area that you access outside of the camper. Not sure the name of the storage areas. I pulled both the Black and Grey. Had hose hooked up, and pulled the value near the cap and all went down. The white tub you can hook a hose to is to go into the Black tank. I came disconnected from the Black tank. I really happy this all worked out. I just needed to get underneath and see how it was designed. Problem solved.

Ditto JOECAMPER's repy. So many post go "unfinished". It is good to see that you took the time to figure it out, and the time to share how you figured it.
